I always thought Neem was acceptable for use until a few weeks before harvest unlike many other products. Neem on its own simply inhibits the breeding if I remember correctly.

I have only had to deal with spidermites in early growth and I used PV + (plant vitality +) to eliminate them, cleaned everything from top to bottom and have not seen them since. I would not use it unless you have 6 weeks until harvest some people would say not at all.

Look into Sulfur fumigation! It kills bugs and all mold spores
The sulfur burner costs about 120$ and a container of horticulture sulfur is around 10-20$

neem oil is great for spider mites but the eggs arent killed off by the neem and the new hatchlings will become accustom to the neem oil and it wont affect them when sprayed.
switch between 2 or 3 Miticides/Insecticides spraying every week at night. Spider mite eggs hatch in 3-6 days
I use Azamax Gognats and a homemade miticide a local grower makes.
Hit them at night every week if you are spraying veg, in flower only spray the plants up to week 3 or 4...otherwise you will smoke what you spray!
I would recommend using concentrated foggers from your local grow shop when you have plants in flower from week 4-10 depending on your strains flower time
but don't fog plants that are a week from harvest otherwise your buds will taste funky!

hope this helps!

P.S spider mites HATE cold weather and water so i sometimes turn my A/C unit on at night in flower so the mites don't reproduce
try to drop the temp below 60 and you are gold. mites die at 50 degrees but so could your plants so try easing into it and adjust accordingly
