spider mites

I'm a week into the flowering stage and i had to leave town for a couple days and when I came back to check on my plants, there were spider mites and webs all over the plants. Most leaves pretty much have brown on them and the leaves are starting to curl. I let off a smogger and have been spraying the plants with an alcohol/water/dish soap solution. Is it too late?? :wall:

Let me put it this way. to have spider mites in your garden is dirty. If your only a week into flowering just cut them down and start over. I know it wastes a little of your time bro but in the long run you will do alot better than trying to fix your problem. cut them all down and bomb your room a couple times

That's seems pretty harsh. I'm currently battling the little bastards myself. They started showing up at 2 weeks into flowering and I'm not going down without a fight! I hung 2 Hot Shot No Pest Strips in my grow tent and two days later ALL of the adults are dead. There are still a bunch of eggs, but I have been removing the more infected fan leaves and simply washing the more important leaves off with a spray bottle. Seems to be working so far.

How far are you into flowering now?

I have read that if you have high air exchange, those strips don't work well because the fumes from them get evacuated from the area. My room has high flow negative pressure and smoking a cigarette in there doesn't even leave any trace of smoke. It gets pulled out quickly.
And I am also fighting this scourge.

It's true that you have to stop air exchange for a few days. I have a grow tent and also use neg pressure to scrub the air and cool my HPS.
