Spider mites

Is there any possible way to get rid of Spider Mites without harming the plant more. I've Googled home remedies but not convinced, and if using chemicals is my only last option, what would be best?

Mighty wash by NPK industries or Nuke em by Flying Skull.

Mighty Wash is supposed to work well from a few buddies I know that have used it. Since you are not in flower, Organicide can and does work too. I have had to use it 2 times on those bastards and it killed them.

I suggest cutting off the leaves you can, that are the worst, and spraying the rest of the plant. Do you have pets? I would probably give the room a good scrub before adding new plants.

Coverage with mighty wash is the key, you've got to hit them and their eggs and with mighty wash they will die.
If you don't hit them they won't. You can order small amounts of forbid, avid, floramite, kontos on ebay or amazon.
These are systemic and protect for 45 days or so . I'm not afraid to use toxic systemics up until the time I flip but after that it's nuke em or mighty wash or , another benefit of Nuke em is that it's a natural fungicide also.

Alright I got the mighty wash yesterday. I got up this morning at 5 to spray the lil bastards. I hope this works. But thanks for advice guys.

Mighty wash didn't do the job. What other options do I have?

I've used a couple of drops of dish soap mixed with water in a spray bottle, if the mixture hits them they will die because most insects breathe through their skin so it suffocates them on contact. I would'nt use during flowering.

Put a Hotshot pest strip in the middle of your babies they will be gone in no time, One of my friends tried everything mentioned above and none of that worked they always came back, They used Hotshot with Organibliss and they have been gone for 8 months now and have not returned. Good luck hope you get them.

Ask on RIU and you'll get 100 different answers and 90 of them will be WRONG or ineffective. There are tons of products and most work to some degree, but not enough to wipe out them out for good. Stay in veg until the problem is solved, do not start flowering as most of the products will damage or kill you buds AND you don't want to smoke chemicals, etc.

So, how to proceed?????? The key is to identify the type of mite you actually have. Most products DO NOT WORK on all types of mites. Get a good magnifyer and try to identify the insect. There are Russet mites, Broad mites, etc., etc.- many different kinds to be sure. Some are tougher to get rid of than others.

For me, I've tried everything on the market at one time or another. I found the best thing for my type of mites was Forbid 4F, bought on Ebay for $20- a small container of it. It has a 45 days residual effect to kills mites longer and travels from the top of leaves to underneath to become more effective. If you spray it well, you won't have to spray again. Do it in the dark period and let it dry overnight with no fans on so it's not blown off the leaves. It will kills eggs, mites, etc.

Anyone ever try rosemaric acid? It is the main ingredient in SNS 209, which I'm going to try. Just cut down my plants way too early thanks to russet mites.
The guy at the hydro store said he uses it all the way through flower. What do you think?
