you would be better of useing CFL then what your using get the 6500k for veg and the 2700K for flower but what your using is why you have such bad stretch. They make socket Y adapters so you can use more then one CFL per socket also outlet to socket adapters so you can use a simple wall outlet or surge protector thats what i use and zip ties are a micro growers best friend also they tidy up your grow space by getting wires and such up and out of the way. You would be off and running it you put a 150 hps in there like i said just make sure its remote meaning the ballast is not built into the reflector HTG supply sells the one i have and i love it and that truly all you need unless your going to grow trees use 6500k to veg em and the 150 hps to flower also use LST training to keep them short and bushy you need to spend some hours looking over other MICRO growers setups and stay away from the people who have full grow setups meaning if they have over a 400w their info wont suit your space unless your willing to spend hundred even thousands ive also only used CFL from start to finish and the end product was super smoke. 150w for that space and without the right ventilation you'll run into problems now think if you added a 400-1000w its going to be over 100 degrees in there unless you go cooltube and spend some money on the fans ducting etc. You could setup that space for under 300 going with the CFLS and 150w hps or you could spend over 1000 setting up a bigger light and fan setup but i dont think you have the knowledge yet and if i was you i would start small and cheapest i could. Build up to something bigger dont just go full out without the knowledge cuz you will run into problems and end up spending more on a big op then you would if you waited and gained more knowledge about setups tricks and over all how to manipulate the plants. Of course everyone will say go big or go home but it truly isn't the case most of those people are drug dealers not someone just looking to put smoke in their face or medicate themselves only with said crop. I wouldn't go under 23w for the CFL i use 26w cfls myself i like the output and intensity better.

Dude just mount a AC 120mm high CFM fan to the front of that reflector blow over the 250w HPS bulb and run two high cfm exhaust fans and two meduim ones at the bottom maybe a small 4-6 inch under the plants canopy when it gets big enough to trap heat and you should be good to go. And no you dont want to put a 150 in a 250. So two exhaust at the top one fan on reflector and two on both sides or just in the back but you will get better and fresher air out of the sides unless the both is shoved into a corner then just two intake on one side at the bottom you have to get the air to come in from the bottom and leave out the top while keeping that hps bulb cool. I run a 150w in a smaller box then that you should be fine if not then you could just buy a giant cfl or a bunch of small ones but no matter what way you go for lights you HAVE to and ventilation they like fresh air not stale shit.

You are never going to see the results that you want using low wattage CFLs over top of those tall lanky plants. CFL is fine, but you still need the wattage and light intensity to do the job. Your 90w of total CFL power is not going to do the job. Stop beating around the bush and just fire up that HPS... 250 watts is going to cost you same amount of money to run regardless of the type of light being used. You already have the HPS, so use it.

You should have tried to put them back into veg after the chop, after they recovered(IF they recovered) you could have put them back into flower and had much better bud structure. Best bet with that crop would have been to just hit each bud site with a CFL and hope for the best.

Good luck with it. Anything you get off of it will be more than you had when you started, so don't worry too much about it. Your next crop will be better. It's a constant learning process. I have done a few indoor grows in the past, but I feel like a noob(and I'm making noob mistakes) after being away from it for eight years and using a new setup with HID lighting.

i know what ya mean m8 but im not 1 for spending money an so many people around here keep getting busted because of british gas telling the cops that your using an extra £20/£30 on electric etc. so its also that, thats getting in the way of me using my hps

Just keep tweezing them off my untill the buds form and you cant see them anymore it will reduce the amount of seeds in your bud. Just be careful not to pop them and spread pollen when doing so.

thats what i had done man an 4some reason i cant see anymore unless they now forming inside the buds r hopefully not forming at al anymore,,,,, what caused my lady 2 start forming pollen sacks anyway r is that a question that cant b answered

thats a bag of bones.

and all talking fucking shite, (blue spectrum) metal halide lamps are for the plants veg stage and the plants fill out, (red spectrum) HPS is used during the flowering stage, i use a lamp called a (sylvania grolux) dual spectrum hps, it was the only way i could get short stubby plants with big buds in a short time, if you get that plant under a metal halide and not an hps it will go veg crazy, use a dual spectrum. here are my plants, they have been vegged for 21 days and flowering for 36, they still have 29 days flowering to go and as you can see are in soil.

these plants have never been turned or moved since seedlings and you can see how much the lower branches have stretched to find the light, and how much budding is on those lower branches considering there is still 29 days to go, (barneys farm lsd feminized seeds 24% THC).

the spindly plant in between the digital thermometers at the front was a runt called a cheese plant i was going to throw out at birth but kept it alive for the sake of live and let live. it was pure yellow until a week ago but has just kicked off grow mental in the last week.

and you can see the leaves that catch the light of these plants pointing toward the sky 24 hours a day as they are very very happy.

8 plants
10 litre bag pots.
temps 26c-29c...78f-84f humidity 46-49%
ph bang on 6.5
canna terra professional plus soil (neutral, with big kick starter nutes only, add your own nutes after a week).
2 x 600w hps duel spectrum (1200w) 16" away from plants.
a constant supply of fresh air at lights on with a thermostat that turns the fresh air fan off at night when the temps reach 19c coming on and off constantly.
a 24hr oscillating fan.
a dehumidifier averaging about 1-2 litre in 24 hours.
plants fed 2 litres of full nutrient solution each every 2nd day at lights on (7ml - litre).
ionic grow. (veg)
ionic bloom.
ionic boost. (offering extra phosphorous and potassium during the flowering stage) (1ml - litre).
i believe that these nutrients have all elements including cobalt and nickel that are absent in other nutrients.

was gonna buy more expensive flowering nutrients half way through flowering but the plants are thriving on this stuff.
does anybody know a tried and tested big bud nutrient formula.

OP when it comes to growing weed its not good practice to be a "cheap cunt" , your product is only as good as your equipment allows it to be and by the looks of it you're risking possible jail time for a failed grow, take some advise and get a real light.

i have never known anyone to get jail time for 1 plant, if a copper needs to jail a cheap cunt for 1 plant with the cheapest equipment you can buy, he should be kicked out of the fuckin police force with the kick directed at his balls.
