split the plant in half!

So I was tying my plant down to open it up and I accidently split my stock right in half. Can someone tell me if it's going to live? I'm so upset. I don't really know what to do. I squeezed it together. Tied it and taped it.

I've seen it go both ways Die or not. As long as you have it back together really good and braced it. That's all you can do only time will tell but MJ is a really hardy
Plant when grown correctly so there's a 50-50 chance

I've done that multiple times as long as there is some plant tissue still connected (not completely split in 2 pieces) then it will grow a knot there and be stronger than ever. It will set back your veg time though. I would suggest using medical pore tape so the wound can breath in addition with the brace and you should be Ok. What doesn't kill Mary Jane makes her stronger.

I agree with Machiavelli, ditch that painters tape and hit it with medical pore tape or as Jimmy said some electrical tape. Also, I'm really digging your hickory splint!! :hump:

OK ,put some honey (natural remedies ) and a bandaid, once it heals it will pop off .....or what I do is I lather my rosin on it, works great.....screw popsicle stick crutches

I electrical tape the shit out of it.... Done it 6 or 7 times and never had a plant die yet.
I will take a length of small diameter strong ass road and wrap the piss out of the stem to hold it together then I brace it to try to keep the sided to side movement down to a minimum. I've done this on big ass stems more like branches all the way down to young little ones Good luck

Here's some pics of it.
You did good, and acted quickly enough, you should now spray her with aspirin for shock,
just add 1/2 tablet of aspirin to a gallon of water..spray 2-3 times per day, until perked up ..maybe 3-4 days, ..

and yeah honey applied to the wound is a good and serious move

Thanks guys for all of your help. I went and looked at her this morning and she doesn't seem to be dying.. yet.. hopefully it'll stay that way. I'll try a few things you guys have suggested. Wish me luck. I'll post an update in a couple days if any of you are interested to know if she makes it through. :-)
