Spots on leaves, unlike pictures I've seen. Is there a problem?

Recently started my first grow. Started from a clone, I've had it for about 2 weeks. It looks and smells very healthy for the most part, what worries me is there are spots on some of the new leaves, and I'm not sure why. They don't match any of the deficiency pictures closely enough to be conclusive. Some info that might be important- when I started growing it, I didn't water it enough, and it started drooping. I also had the light too close to it, but with just a little extra water and more space from the light, it perked up right away. Help me out please, I've become very attached to it already. Thanks!

Im having a similar problem. What stage of growth are you in and what type of nutes are you feeding?

No nutes, just the best soil I could buy from the hydro store. It is in it's 2nd week, on the veg cycle at the moment. Got it on a 24/0 light schedule, and I've been giving it tap water, which I read is okay as long as I leave the water out for a couple days before feeding it to the plant. I've been checking the ph on a regular basis which is at a solid 6.5-6.8. I think it might be mites, since the spotting looks very similar to plants infected with mites, but I inspected my plant closely for about an hour, and found no bugs or anything that I could see with my naked eye. I just want to get to the root of this problem before it gets out of hand. This is my first plant, I am very new to this stuff, any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Well, spider mites are much too small to be seen by the naked eye unless there is a LOT of them, which by then the problem is basically out of control. They are about half the size of this dot ---> .
It cant be nute burn since you arent feeding yet, so I would say the mites diagnosis isnt that far off. Check the underside of the leaves. Do you have any signs of like a white fuzzy web? That is another sign of spider mite infection. Here is a link with some more info.

Yellow spotting like this is almost always a sign of cal/mag deficiency. Cal/mag are also the 2 nutrients that are most likely to get locked out if your water is too acidic. Do you check your ph?

Pic 1 is a leaf with spots
Pic 2 is underside of leaf with spots
Pic 3 is the only leaf that looks really bad

Hopefully it is a Ca/Mag def. I don't want to deal with mites :P Thank you so much for all the help.

Don't think that that specific speck is a mite nor would you be able to see the mites with my cell cam. Some of the soil is on the leaves, I had a little spill. I inspected and watched the plant for any subtle movements and felt the plant up to see if there was any bugs I could scare into moving.

I'm hoping its just the ca/mag def. that is a more manageable problem. If anybody has some more knowledge about it lemme know. Thanks.

ran into cal/mag issues many times and never got specs always just fading of the leafs more or less. i still think its mites even though you think your cell cam couldnt pic it up. or its soil on the leafs like you said then i have no idea what your problem is.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I'm planning on getting some kind of pesticide to take care of it. Hope it works!

Neem oil works great, can also (gently) rub leaves with a diluted alcohol/water mix and that should kill off the vermin. I just had to pluck some leaves off my indoor strawberries and spray some neem over it. Looking healthy after 3-4 days.

Oh ya bud, i could tell as soon as i saw the first pics.
To the OP, you have to stay on this, it will destroy your plants if you miss one week. They are no joke, theyre vicious little fuckers. Try to add some MILD dish soap to your pepper mixture and spray when the lights go off. Good luck bro, mites are satans spawn :(:(:(

lol ya really. i think the pepper spray calls for once a week spraying. idk if you can over due it or not. ide for sure find out if i had mites! i used some pesticides from ortho once that goes on the end of the hose. little red bottle. used it on my outdoor stuff once for a mite problem and fucking killed them all with one spray. good shit there. said its safe for veggies and all that and i wasnt flowering then either. probably wouldnt have used it if they were in flowering.
