4 plants in a 1 gal res. FF hydro trio nutes. 4 weeks into flowering and they have the chicken pox. i really dont know what to do. im flushing with PHed water. have been for at least 24 hrs now. the PH still seems to be dropping. i added some up. they are getting worse. ill keep posting pics untill i figure it out, or they kick the bucket. for some reason my stupid camera wont focus so sometimes they dont look as bad as they actually are. the spots are spreading and starting to crispify leaves left and right. sigh. FRUSTRATING!





this was yesterday afternoon. the leaves at the top that are still green arent anymore.




its hard to tell but all the leaves are spotting faintly.

i really cant figure this out. i dont know what else to try. im hoping that someone can help diagnose before they die.

Looks like a calcium deficiency.
Quote from another site: "To fix a calcium deficiency you can treat by foliar feeding with one teaspoon of dolomite lime or Garden lime per quart of water, Or Any Chemical/Organic nutrients that have Calcium in them will fix a Calcium deficiency. (Only mixing at ½ strength when using chemical nutrients or it will cause nutrient burn!)
Or you can take crushed up dolomite lime or garden lime in a gallon of water and water it in the soil. 1 to 2 teaspoons per gallon of water, which will be slow acting. Garden Gypsum, which is medium absorption. Limestone, which is medium absorption, Rock Phosphate and Animal wastes which are both medium/slow absorption. Note: Caution when using gypsum to an already acid soil (pH that is less than 5.5) can have a very bad effect on different types of plants by effecting theabsorption of soil aluminum, which is poison to plant roots.

I am gonna agree with the Ca diagnosis but r u serious about 4 plants in only a 1 gallon res? or did you mean 10 gal? if you have flushed already time to start feeding again. mix up a balanced nute mix and they should recover. some calmag will help as well and make sure your ph is in line 5.5 -6

Yup a calcium deficiency....get some cal-mag and add it to your nute mix and it should clear it up quick. I would go 1/2 strength at first :hump:

ok so i got my ppm meter today and the ph has finally stabilized. i changed out my res with new nutes and water. im at around 607 ppms right now. 1 tsp grow big, 1 tbsp big bloom and 1/2 tsp tiger bloom. im foliar feeding with 2 tsp cal mag, 1/2 tsp grow big (to a gallon, at around 500 ppms) to try and correct their calcium/magnesium def. they seem to be doing better. i trimmed all the dead leaves today too. digi ph, hygrozyme, digi thermometer /hygrometer and clearex all on the way. im already excited about the next grow! pics soon. :leaf:

Thanks for this, someone should add these pics to the sick plant faq. I remember seeing your plants like this and now I have one exactly like this, I just threw a cap full of tiger bloom into my res.
