Spray Cleaner bottle?

I have a now empty enviormentaly friendly cleaner in a spray bottle. Do you think if I washed it out with rubbing alcohol and then tons of hot water, should be okay to water my plants?:-?

I think you can skip the alcohol and use hot water and soap... as long as the instructions do not say to wrap in newspaper and discard.... if it does, I wouldn't use it...

Actually just started converting one of my ladies old Garnier spray bottles into a watering bottle myself. I cleaned it with hot water first but even though the spray came out what seemed to be pure H2O I could still smell a trace amount of the gel that used to be in the container so I am currently giving it a super cleaning with hot water and dish soap, and will be soaking it in 91% rubbing alcohol as well before I clean it once more with hot water. I think the alcohol might be unnecessary but I would much rather do it this way to have the peace of mind that whatever is coming out of the spray is only water.

If the bottle contained poison, toss it, but most household cleaner stuff should be alright and wash out, except for oven cleaners and things like that.

Definitely. This stuff is just the Garnier Fructis spray gel that she uses in her hair. I figured what bit of gel might be left behind after I emptied the container out would easily be cleaned up. So far so good. The first ingredient on her spray gel is water so there can't be too much bad stuff in there that I have to clean out anyways right?

Haiz bandito :D Welcome to RIU. Should be okay with the hot water soak and whatnot. If nothin else just get some cheap ones for $1. GO GO Foliar Sprays!!

Thanks for the welcoming :) i was just a little to lazy to go out and buy one haha my clear was just for counters it was called h2 basics and was 98 percent water so i assume it should be just fine. I would just hate to spray it and kill my babies!
