I have three sprouts going the first one is dying though, but the other two have shot up real quick, about 4 to 5 inches in a couple of days, yet the leaves are still the infant leaves and have not separated yet. I looked at pictures of other plants of similar age and they are all only a couple of inches high with obvious pot leaves starting. I have them each in private mini-greenhouses made out of 2 liter bottles which are under a repti-light, UVB flourescent. Is this a) normal for some plants, and b) an okay setup. I appreciate all input.

More light will help them stop growing up, and help them grow out. Repti-lights were what I used to do my seedlings, but I had two, and I wouldn't do that again. But then again I now have full tubes in T8 and T5. That's money though, and hey, using what you have to get what you want is always the best way.

4-5 inches with just the embryonic leaves is reeeeeally tall and means they're stretching and that the light isnt close enough. the light should be about an inch or so away from the plant and as long as you can stick your hand between the plant and the light and it doesnt feel too hot, you're good.
