squishy stems at base

i received 900 cuts, wedding cake, purple punch and Gmo. when transplanted they had healthy roots popping through the root cubes. i had to water in with unfiltered creek water that i had filled a 50 gallon container with and added 4 mL/ Gallon of H2O2 the night before. every day since i have lost few more cuts when they fall over from a sqishy soft stem at the base. today, a week since transplanting i have lost ~250 total, the greatest loss in the purple punch. water is pH 6.8 to 7.4 and 70 degrees. Nematodes? something fungal? Any advice is appreciated.


p.s. leaves stay green but lose turgor

If you are dealing with that many clones, then I’m thinking you have WAY more experience than I do, so this is more of a question than a comment...I thought clones did better at pH range of 5.5 - 5.8? Could the closer to neutral pH be causing issues?

sounds like whatever starter cube you might be using (or the medium you placed them in) is staying wet 24/7

hydro pH should be ~ 5.8 in veg and 6.0 in bloom

Also, pH pens often go bad, will not calibrate accurately. I replace mine every 2 grows max

I’ve gone back to higher resolution pH strips and a liquid test kit. I was so tired of constantly calibrating and questioning the accuracy of my pH meters, and I always compared its reading to regent tests, so i just cut out that middle step of using and questioning the meter.

i shoot for 6.0 in both V and B with great results. the only difference between my girls in the 7th week of flower and the new girls for the next run (that are dying) is the water source. im going to go take a another pH reading. i use the Hanna where you can replace the probe. the probe should be replaced every year or so and will be replaced this coming fall. i keep it calibrated for both pH and ECM.

A picture would help could be the beginnings of damp off

ok pH is 7.4 and i snapped some pics. they all looked like the healthy cake in the first pic they then in a day the wilt as in pic 2 until they fully wilt in pic 3. i noticed leaf tips also have damage in pic 4. i wasnt able to get a pic of the mushy stems that would help with a prognosis.

how’s your humidity? It’s hard to say .... any bugs?
Man that sucks .... they need some foliage.... usually they bounce back fast at that age unless there’s something majorly wrong.

Wilting due to low humidity. No domes?

You could have used a vitagrow antiwilt dip when they were cut.

humidity is 64% and i keep the room at 72 degrees. only under T5s. the tissue damage may be due to the presence of water as i have noticed the healthy plants need a spritz every other day and the unhealthy ones never uptook [sic] the water i gave them the first go. admittedly i havent brought my pH down to 6 when i just water but i will start. i didnt think 6.8 to 7.4 depending on temp would do damage. no signs of bugs. i sprayed trifecta when i received them. last fthursday and i transplanted saturday and sunday. regardless i appreciate the timely responses.

Honestly it’s probably a root issue in my opinion . If you have 900 it’s only logical to think some are just bad cuts maybe? Good luck hopefully you can cut your losses short.

maybe too much water? are they in soil or coco? if they had roots then it's probably not because they were bad cuts

I have pH drops as my backup

probably to wet. Also get them into larger pots. FYI, I use net pots of various sizes. This allows you to drop straight into a larger pot without issue
