Thanks for the compliments fellas. I never get tired of seeing the pk finish. She is just so fuckin purty.

I drained, refilled reserviors and ph'd the water to 5.8. They will get a flush for the next week with straight water and some drip clean. I will probably take the tops first and let the under buds go a few days longer.

I do it every run without any negative results. They have a enough nutrients in the leaves to last for weeks. Last round I flushed with straight water for 11 days and the large fans started fading a bit, but the buds looked great at harvest. IMHO a 7-10 day flush in hydro is plenty long enough for a nice clean taste.

I meant cutting off the tops and flowering the rest for a few more days, is that what you meant?

Oh, I get what you are saying now. Yes, it does shock them a bit and also makes them very susceptable. However, it is only a few days and it is the buds that haven't received any direct light yet that I am talking about( you know the light green ones). What I do is take the entire top off a plant, trim it up and then move on to the next plant. I take a couple days a few hours here and there until I get through all of them. I make sure to fill an entire drying rack before breaking, so they dry at the same evenly. Then I start back at the beginning and take the lower under canopy stuff off. So believe it or not, there is a noticable difference on those under buds after a few days. I wouldn't suggest it if you have any current issues going on ( bugs, mold, mildew, deficiencies, etc.), but when they are strong and healthy, I haven't had any issues. I don't mess around if there are any current issues, they all come down at once in that case.

ive done this on my last few trees and not only do they fattin up noticeably they also ripen!

btw raider that purple is oh so sexy!

Exactly!! They ripen most importantly. Especially when you have a lot of weight in the middle of your canopy. That way you don't end up with a 1/2 pnd of light airy bud that can sometimes look like a completley different strain.

Thanks rasta, they are some sexy bitches for sure. The buds end up like toilet paper roll size instead of the OCD beer can buds, but the density makes them yeild close to the same and damn they are pretty to look at. :weed:

yea man i wouldnt leave u astray i only do it cuz it and recommend it becuase it works! about 2 harvests ago i left the bottom half of my lst plant to go about another 2-3weeks with noticeable diff!

I got told my plants are over done, but the thread about being done I was told 3 weeks more, and it was only 2....oh well. Live and learn.

Over done? Are the trichomes amber ( or brown)? If so how much so? If you have a loop, look close to see if the heads of the trichomes are still swollen and intact. I used to let my trichs get 50/50 before I flushed and they were be 75-80% amber by the time I harvested. It just made a super couch lock smoke. It is up to your preference, but for it to be over done means the trichomes burst and the thc starts to degrade. This is usually not the case, most harvest too early IMO. For me, the perfect harvest is 50-60% amber trichomes.

I just dropped the temps down a few degrees to try and bring some more purple out of them. Right now the ambient temps are 74 and the canopy with lights on is a few degrees higher. The temps don't fluctuate more than a degree or two.

Here is a picture of the trichomes from my digi microscope. The resolution kind of sucks so I don't normally post the pics, but this is how I check my trichome maturity. It was like 50 bucks.

Brown popped shriveled trichs!! Actually some plants have SOME that are not popped though.

Boy im waaaaaaaay late for this one. Shit looks bomb Raiderfan!!! Top Knotch!!. I had a rare oppotunity to get hella fried on some sr71 pk recently and that is one of the finest herbs ive ever tasted. You have grown them ladies to perfection bro :clap:
