dont know the video.. but from what you are saying it sounds like a flood table... where for 15 minutes water floods the table, runs to the other side, and is drained back into the res.. where with my system when it floods the water is held in the sites for 15 minutes (standing water style) and then is pumped back into the res... so in a way his system is similar but also different...

whether you do it in veg or flowering it will give amazing results... hydro is just amazing all around.. so yes, it can be done in veg also.. but get ready for some explosive growth rates!

watched the vid.. and yea.. he has a flood table.. works on similar principles.. but is made for smaller plants...

now by smaller plants though how much smaller yeild do you think i will get with a flood table
rather than a ebb flood system?

i would recommend only running straight to 12/12 clones in a flood table set up... its a case where numbers beat out size usually.... make sense?

glad to have you on board... you can top or fim them if you want.. thats about the extent of it... maybe super crop them once or twice.. but if you have a strong enough light you can get them to flower from top to bottom.. no need to lollipop for the most part.. they dont get tall enough usually...





i dropped the "primary" seeds in rooting cubes this afternoon.. they got a good soak... i expect them to be ready to go into buckets around sunday... we'll see tho... i plan on picking the best looking of the bunch to fill out the sites.. the rest may go into larger cubes.. but i havent decided... on second thought i am going to do that.. i learned my lesson on my last grow.. need a couple backed up just in case...

i didnt hear from the shop about my order today.. i am going to call them in the morning and find out about that... hopefully i can start soaking my autos soon...

i dont know what i am going to do with the autos... basically because i have never grew them.. so im not sure what to expect... ill honestly probably not do anything to mine... if i do anything tho it would be to try to super crop early on a couple times and then fim her...

YAY! guys this is hatchet man, i had a few problems yesterday and was able to work them out with admins so i got my OA back
Okay well if anyone wanted to know a little about the autos, i have grown 1 crop of them. they worked well grew intensively fast and i had a great yeild about 18- 28 per plant(10 plants) so i feel i did pretty well.
I would go with just the topping instead of fimming though( that is one expirement i did while i had them) when you fim them it seems to put alot of weigth( obviously) on the top, but not just normal its to much for the plant to hodl i would have to use 2 sticks just to keep these bastards up. so unless you wanna take risks of falling over plants ect ect i would top them and get 2 nice colas. but if your wondering yes i would get the 20-28 of the fimmed ones though the topped got 18-24, i would rather not take the risk.
My strain was just normal old lowryder #1

thanks for the info bro... and the article.. both shed some light on autos more... i dont think ill fuck with them.. if i was going to grow them again i'd spend this grow watching growth patterns and working on their feeding regiment... and then the next grow i would work more on the pruning side and such.. oh well.. i am still banking on some decent little plants...

whats up AOF?? welcome to the journal...

i am planning on posting pics... actually had some news on that coming up in the update which starts right about now....




so first thing is first.. i called the shop and they said i my stuff will all be in friday.. monday at the latest.. the ebb and gro system is in.. and so are my pumps and timers i needed.. just waiting on the mogul sockets i need for the 1000w'ers... the reflectors i have on the 400s had sockets hard wired in them.. the new ones i got, which have a much larger foot print, werent hard wired and someone like a dumbass i forgot to order them.. oh well.. should be here soon..

i started soaking the autos last night getting them ready to go into cubes... the fem'd seeds (standard strains) are already sprouting.. 48 hours from soak and more than a few are above the cubes.. how many is a mystery right now.. i havent checked... and cant until the girl friend wakes up.. if i wake her up she'll want me to go back to bed and cuddle and shit... if im doing that how can i do this or other things??

i am going to take some pics in a day or two.. i really just want to get the flower room set up first and then take pics of both sides... if you want to see the veg room for the most part watch the youtube vid in my link of my last grow.. only difference between that grow and this is ill be vegging out 16 girls instead of only 12.. which i think i'll regret cause ill have no space...

so things will have to stay a little boring for a couple more days.. just until i can get the rest of the set up put together and get it running.. please be patient.. itll be worth it...

And i wouldnt say this time your wasting your time growing the autos if
anything this is the time you have to watch most, so you know what your
exactly doing so if a problem ever occurs, you know what you did, so you can fix it.
just becuase i only used the autos once doesnt mean i disliked them, i accually liked them more,
though with growing new plants every 2 months i couldnt do that back then, now i can so my newest
grow will be some autos and regulars.
