Stainless steel Stealth grow box ideas

I came across a SS box that is a little bigger than PC case. I'm going to make a stealth grow box that will reside in a closet in a un-conditioned garage. I wonder if the stainless is reflective enough or do I need to line it with mylar? The grow area will be about 12x16x24. I will ScRog in dirt. Probably 2 plants... hindu cush from seed. I will use a 70w HPS and maybe supplement with cfl. I have canabilzed a security light fixture. I'm making a homemade cool tube from a 2 dollar flower vase bought at the evil empire. It was easy to cut the bottom off. I took a run of the mill glass cutter and fastened it to a piece of wood. I clamped the wood to a table and scored the glass by rotating it around the cutter. After scoring, heat the glass with a hobby torch. After hot, flick some water at it with your fingers. it should break at the score Take some 150 sandpaper and dull the sharp edges. Walla, cheap glass tube. I'm working out the ventilation details now. I have a 6" 120v fan that I need to fation and engineer. I welcome all comments and questions and will try to update as this project progresses.

Update: The going has been slow but steady. I mounted a squirrel cage fan for ventilation. For support integrity, I mounted it to two 12x12x1/8 aluminum sheets and sandwiched the outlet fitting. I also put some fiberglass insulation in between the plates. I used red RTV to attach vent fitting to my home made cool tube. I went ahead and lined the box with some highly reflective material. I have the electrics mounted. I’m going to use a temp switch to run the fan until I get a feel for what the temp dynamics are going to be. I’ve also decided to go wet. I bought a water farm that suspends from the bottom of the box. More to learn here. I need to come up with a light trap and insect filter for the intake holes I have drilled. More to come…

Here is a mod I've done to get the riser tube out for maintenence. 1" pvc sleeve. Cut collars from a coupler. They fit tight enough you realy don't need to glue them. I posted this in a WF mod thread too.

I got the cabinet at a salvage sale. I liked it be cause shiny things excite me. But seriously, I liked the fact it would be more fire resistant than a wood cabinet and a tad bigger than a PC cab. I plan on one plant.

cabs like this just make sure there are no live electric contacts touching the cab, though Im not sure if stainless steel is a conductor of electricity.

Word of advice, cutting and drilling stainless is not for your average DIY'er. I have attached an image of my air pump mount. Free floating rubber base with a spring I fashioned to mount. A single wing nut holds the whole assembly. It really dampens the noise. I also made a skirt for the bottom for stray light containment and storage. Another image of it in the closet.
I painted the bottom bucket of the water farm black... is this a necessary mod?
I plan to do a scrog. My goal is to have a sprout going 1-1. I have HinduKush and Northern Light seeds. Which one???? would you do.

The "engineering" part of this hobby rocks! Oh, and the sharing too.

Dude the wiring is pretty sound. Stainless is an excellent conductor. I used the cutouts from the blower as big washer like heat sinks on the outside of the cab where the ballast is mounted.

Actually a steel enclosure is much a safer box than the cardboard and wood contraptions I've seen on the web. Shock is not the big threat, FIRE, is what scares me.
