Someone recommend me a cheap shop vac. I would really like to use one so I can just instantly remove the runoff
Just need a couple extensions from another vacuum. Zig zag in one hand. Hose in the other sitting on a chair. 4x4 done before I am.

Here ya go. I use a big ass one, but I'm gonna get one or two of these too. They're cool as hell.

I try to avoid runoff. Which its nearly impossible now that I'm using coco. So I just let the runoff hit the floor tray in the tent. After an hour or so I just take a towel or two and get down in there and dry it up

BUT I just ordered 12" saucers. The 10" weren't big enough. So my plan is let the saucers catch the water. Once they're done use towels and dry up the water
If you're growing in coco using chemicals you need to have runoff all the time. I'm confused now.

I may pick one up myself and just sit my pot on this grid I have and elevate it above the catch trays. Thanks for that. I been meaning to look into one.

I have a little one with a small hose for a 5 gal bucket, and a bigger one with a longer hose that's for my 18 gal Rubbermaid container that reaches from my bathroom to my grow areas. Makes it way easier. I got mine from my hydro shop for cheap. The little one was less than $10, then I had to buy the hose and crap. Super cheap still.

In the photo there in veg so there's only one tray and jug, when flowering there's 3 trays with 3 jugs but the same principle, elevate the tray at the back and use a piece of capillary mating at the low end into the jug and it will empty to the lowest point, I go in to the run off already collected in the jug.

Capillary mat/matt? can lift nutrient up and over a good height 6/8 maybe 10" and deliver it to any vessel you choose.
