You do realize rain water has nutrients in it right? Rain water actually feeds crops, it doesn't flush them.
If you grow in dirt for example when you water at least 25 percent runoff should run out the bottom of your pot if you are using hydroponic fertilizer if not salt will build up therefore everytime you water you are rinsing away or flushing your medium. Try giving your houseplants the run off will probably kill them. So lets stay on subject here yes you are right rain water has nutrients the plant can access hell the atmosphere has nutrients the plant can access. But rain does not have harmfull salt or chelates. It washes away any if any farmer is using slow release but not all. Which is why farmers try to use organic methods you know spreading shit. Have you ever planted in a cornfield weed grows perfectly in a cornfield I have seen monster plants grow in the cornfield but it seldom burns unless lots of fall rain.
