Start seed in middle of the pot?

Good day,

Throughout my short time on this forum ive seen a fair few (by no means anywhere near the majority) plants grown away from the centre of the pot.

Is there a reason for this?

Is it so you can get more plants under one light during veg?

Laziness?

I imagine in the likes of a smart pot or air pot it would perhaps prevent overwatering?

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read.

1- no
2-no, each pot has one plant normally. we dont try to cram more plants, only more lights
3-no
4-none of those will prevent over watering. this is done with proper watering habits and substrate
5 not a problem

Protecting the bottom leaves is one good reason to put the seedling in the center of the pot. Otherwise the bottom leaves on the big side of the pot are more likely to rest on the dirt.

Good luck, BigSteve.
