it norm takes a week or 2 to see a real change in the plant the 1st week hairs will start to show up at budding sights after about 3 weeks you will have little white balls of hairs on the tops of your plants, those become the cola's
and somtimes it depends the age of the plants if its too young it takes a while longer to switch into flowering

the plant is about 2 1/2 months old! its about 2 1/2 feet tall. STRAIN--> Durban Poison
any idea on how much i'll yeild off it, its under a 400watt HPS. i also have another plant growing, its looks amazing , dont know which strain it is! smells ood though!

I and others wont know how much your going to yeild. but if your plant is 2 1/2 feet tall now then expect it to double in size..
Good luck bro. and get some pic's for us to see...

Mine were 1.5 foot tall. there standing at 3 foot tall now. I have like 10 days to harves and im expecting to get 4-5 ounce per plant. Pics below..
So you should be getting around the same as long as you grow them right..

Very very nice plants dude! What strain? If yours are 3 foot tall & your expecting 4-5oz & if mine get 5 foot tall which i was told i should yeaild a lil more right? If not 4oz is great per plant!
When you so grown right, could you give me some pointers please so i can yeild at least 3oz per plant?

Yes you could yield more but this depends on how you grow them. i.e light's, nutes, medium, size of pots..
A good tip for you is... if you have a 3 foot plant and she is sat in lets say a 15 liter ( 3 gallon ) pot then your limiting the amount of space for your roots to develop. In turn the more roots the bigger the plant. My plants are each sat in a 45 liter square pot and the root mass is fernominal. Now for the tip.... More roots = larger more dense flowers.
This is my first grow aswel, i did lots and lots of research and its paying off.
Im always available to chat to if you need any help. Everything i researched was to get the highest yield i could. Granted,,,, i made some mistakes but i think i have some good plants and looking to get some good results.

Not always. A taller plant in its natural growth will normally look sort of like a christmas tree and have 1 large cola with smaller colas on the side branches. What i did was to LST ( low stress train ) my plants. Which means i bent the main stem over and braced it in a horizontal position so that the side branches could catch up with the main. This does 2 things for your plant. 1 it makes so that the light can penitrate the side foliage and 2 you get not just 1 main cola but several main colas. In turn yoiu get a shorter bushier plant with lots and lots and lots of bud......

these are some photos of my 2 plants, one is durban poison, the other is some good bagseed weed. I wasnt able to turn my hps light on last night, so its been almost 24 hours of darkness, will that mess them up?? They are in the 2nd week of flowering (15days) im seeing alot more hairs now, but when will i start to see buds? I see lil ones now, im just anxious. Are they looking good? One of them with all the branches at the bottom(bagseed) is alot older than the other, therfore has more hairs & is recovering from nute burn!Let me know your input

Plants look nice bud. Should be no problem. i don't know anything about yeilds though man i'm on my first grow too but I'm only using CFLs so chances are with you using an HPS for flowering you're gonna get more buds then me. Keep up the good work, looking good. keep us posted.

i heard its up to a gram per watt so u could be getting 400 grams but not always true good plants looking good

Don't hope for G/Watt..... Your not gettin 400 G's off that... You could pull a couple zip's tho.
