long time lurker first time grower with the help of a good buddy of mine from colorado. im currently running a 250w MH cool tube in a 5gal DWC.Im using GH [micro/grow/bloom]+Cal Mag. I have a PH tester kit but do not have a meter to read ppm or ec. i have a dinafem cheese seed that i started in a aerogarden. Ive run into problems like most noobs do but lately everything has been going good if you guys could give me any input or advice that would be cool.
At this point i was just running plane water, not testing the ph. yellowing worried me.
My boy told me that was mold growing on the starter plugs so i threw them away and used foil to cover the open holes.
finally got a tent i decided to see how it would fit in the room and just leave the aerogarden in the tent.
pretty soon id put her in the DWC.
Still had some yellowing on the leaves.
Last few days in the aero i even added a airstone i really noticed how much the roots hanging from the bottom of starter plug enjoyed being splashed by water.
Although her roots were long i dont think i waited long enough for the transplant she took forever to recover including some root root which she has bounced back from incredibly after my last res change.
but like the thread said started from the bottom now shes here
that was one day after changing the res and lowering the water like my boy said i should do and they responded quickly searching for water.
i think i had way too much water in the bucket and it was drowning her. lets fast forward a little to where we are now.
i put reflective tape on the top of the netpot lid to reflect some of the light on the under growth. Read a few comments about LST and i thought id give it a try.
just wondering but if i wanted to hang my cool tube vertically to almost make my braches grow around the bucket how would i go about doing that ? If you guys can throw in any comments or adivce that would be awesome. This site has already been such a big help.
