Started with flowering clones in DWC.....

+I'M A MEDICAL MARIJUANA PATIENT AND I HAVE STATE ISSUED PAPERWORK TO PROVE IT+

THE SET UP

My friend gave me 3 strains which were well rooted and already flowering. (I think he only has one light so he had the clones in the same room as the flowering mama?Idk)

My 3 clones are CHEESE, HEADBAND, and SENSI STAR.

My set up is DWC. I have three 4gallon black buckets with a air-stone and bubbler, I have expanded clay pellets and rock-wool in a basket-lid which is just touching the water.

I am using a 400w convertible HPS/MH ballast and 400w MH bulb for now because I'm veggin'. (two of the three weeks I have had them they were under HPS because something fell on the ballasts' switch and blew out the 1st MH bulb.) I have a "air cooled" (no fan currently) Hydrofarm refelector/hood.

As for ventilation, I have my closet door open with a 12" oscillating fan for now since its veggin' and there is no necessary period of darkness. An efficient air circulation system is in the works with flowering dependent on total darkness for 12 hours.

The temps in my closet stay between 75-80 degrees.

I live in a very arid climate I am told not to worry about a humidifier though. But spider mites scare me so I hang the laundry on the closet door when it comes out wet from the wash and the damp towels after showers. I don't have a humidity detector ?barometer?

I am using General Hydroponics FloraBloom 24mL FloraGrow 12mL Bonicare CAL MAG 6mL. I use Mad Farmer pH up, since the distilled water I use has a low pH of 5.5 to begin with and when the nutrients are added it brings it down to 5.0.

When my friend gave me SENSI STAR he said that her yellowed leaves were because of her insatiable appetite for magnesium. I read on a forum how beneficial dissolved Epsom salts added to the water can be since Epsom salt is Magnesium Sulfate. The pH was too low to accept the salt so I added 6mL pH up. A week passed with no improvement and I added 6mL (2/3 dose) of Nitrogen rich FloraGrow by GeneralHydroponics. The following morning I awoke to a strangly MUTATING monster plant and ever since it continues to grow like its being electrocuted or something, see for yourself. I also since have purchased the real deal CAL MAG and added 7mL to her bucket. The spotting and rust and overall dried up leaf texture has not improved, it has worsted.

She went downhill with the appearance of a mysterious laceration on one of her leaves that started as a tiny centimeter cut and now looks like a chunk is missing. Also some of her lower leaves were showing signs of calcium or magnesium deficiency with yellowing followed by rusty spots so I added cal mag 6 mL. Some of the leaves are twisted and some new growth looks like Sensi Star's insane curled new growth.

Headband surprised us all with her intense branching, instead of having a vertical singular cola she has at least four main colas forming. All of these new leaves are not serrated but they look positivity pert. Some forum said that plants that are re-vegged do not form serrated leaves after coming out of a flowering period. It doesn't even look like a pot plant.None of them really do except for Cheese maybe but even all her new growth looks fucking weird. I hit her with 6mL CalMag just cause my distilled water doesnt have any and I found a crispy rusted bottom leaf.( it could have just been dead old growth but I pruned it and dosed with the Cal Mag anyways.) She has a cut on her leaf too. :(

I bought a clone from "The Clone Store" the guy was a sleazy car salesperson type the kind you can tell is only in the biz for the $$ not for the patients. Anyways with that being said, I 'reserved' an I.S.S. clone requesting he select the healthiest one. A couple of days later he gave me a call and I went to pick it up, It cost $25 and I had to sign a peice of paper that all sales were final etc. I got the little plant home and its INFESTED with spider mites. Their healthiest shit is infested, they make so much money they don't care though. Luckily I had the sense not to take it right to my grow room without first inspecting it. I immediately got the neem oil and the Dr. Bronner's liquid soap and consulted my notes for the correct proportions and whipped up a batch of homemade neem oil insecticide. I drenched the lil clone til she dripped. Then I carefully scraped all the visible spider bodies off the undersides of the leaves and the stem then I went back for the young, for the tiny white eggs. I scraped with a magnifying glass with the light of the sun (and no i didnt burn the plant). Then
I covered her leaves with a plastic bag to ensure a high humidity environment for any little fuckers I may have missed since I have read on the internet that they detest humidity and cannot survive.

Look at the rock-wool photo, its all dark green on top, why is that? anybody

you should look into getting a small tent, it would be easier to cool that then a closet. i paid like $80 delivered for my 2x4x5, and only $200 for the 4x8x7. it really makes a difference and it looks clean and profesional in your house.

Nice set up Pipisana! I would have to agree that they're not looking like some weed plants. That one looks just like oregano or green pepper leafs. In the meantime they'll keep ya practicing on your grow. Good Luck with the clone. Thorough updates too, I like all the info your sharing, +Rep.

I am kind of designing at tent in my regular pencil and paper journal. I will post pictures of what the space I have to work with and my ideas later. But in the meantime Id like to have a look see at what you're talking about send me a link.

I went to go check the pH in my water and I noticed that Cheese and Sensi Star's roots were kinda brownish. The tube for the air stone was covered in a dark red fiber-like stuff and then towards the top there was a white slime. I took it off with my fingers and it collected kind of chunky. It appears as if it would be slimy but when I rubbed it between my fingers it had more of a plaque like texture. Like the plaque on your teeth, not mine. gross. Anyways, headband's tube and airstone were clean and free from red fiber stuff. But had white slime/plaque shit on the tube towards the lid.

I used to maintain pools and I do not think the red fibers are algae or bacteria. I think the red color comes from the fact that a couple expanded clay pellets got into to water and some fibers from the rockwool too. The fibers accumulated on the tube and then the color from the clay and the FloraGrow.

I read that the FloraGrow can cause the roots to become darker.

I know the white slime that has a texture of plaque is some sort of bacteria or algae. There is no light entering the buckets so IDK. Im thinking I should use Hydrogen Peroxide to kill it off and wipe down all the chunks.

ADVICE IS VERY HELPFUL

Please look at the roots and tell me if you think they look anything but healthy, I cant tell colors very well from photos because my monitor is ghetto broken.
