did the math on my soil quantity's looks like i only have enough for 16 5 gallon holes and that's just not enough so good thing my taxes are coming back soon pick up all of these things:
3 bags happy frog
3 bags promix bx
4large coir blocks
1large bag of vermiculite
1large bag of perlite

15lbs of blood meal
10lbs bone meal
5c humic acid powder
2c azomite
10lbs greensand
2c limestone
4lbs bio tone starter plus
3c rock phosphate
5lbs activated carbon
70lbs wormcastings
1c epsom salts
4lbs kelp meal
4lbs gypsum

I mix all of this together and then i water it with a tea of worm castings, bio-tone, moleasses, humic acid, and fish emulsion.

wait until the temp never gets below 50, germinate seeds inside, plant in starter soil, transplant to final place with nutritious soil, and take care of it. It's not hard, just check it everyday and get a feel for it. Don't expect to get huge gnarly ass dank plants your first time, but it happens. good luck

not my first time sir, and if I waited that long I would never finish the season in time. There outside as soon as its above 40 degrees consistantly

The soil mix is my version of subcools supersoil I added a couple things to it like espoma bio tone starter plus myco and activated carbon to hold nitrogen in the soil the microbe food web releases the nitrogen from the soil as the plant secretes chemicals into the soil that stimulate the microbe to feed and free the nitrogen from the soil. basically the plant naturally triggers its own feeding like its supposed to. So just water and mulch this grow sorry I don't believe in expensive nutrient companies. I also added greensand a long-term, slow-releasing fertilizer of marine origin Includes iron-potash silicates and unique properties that loosen clay soils and increase the moisture-holding capacity of both clay and sand When added to soil it significantly reduces the need to water Apply, 0-0-3.

Ok I also realized I don't have enough time to let the soil cook and I don't have enough space for 25 plants outside where I'm at unless I do patches of 4-6 plants at each spot. I don't like how visible that makes things so im just going to buy a bag of happy frog and a coir block and maybe some more greensand and bio tone Ill need them anyway. Ill just do 18 plants and hope for heavy yields. If I don't pull 4lbs then I guess I try next season.

Another thing I'm tired of waiting for spring I'm depressed about how cold it still is its still snowing here. So im going to start some seeds just the bag seeds for now maybe just 6 to start im curious to see how the do in this soil before I put the rest in the same stuff and i have two different mixes to try I want to see which is better for starting.

if you cant start em indoor, you need to plan it so when you drop the seed in the ground (I would still try to make em sprout indoors) your in early spring with no night frost left ..

make sure to plant em a place where they will receive atleast 5+ hours of direct Sun light, and make sure the soil you plant em in is with in the right PH (buy a cheap PH test kit)

if your soil is to acid in your woods you might have to spread some Lime and start em out in some soil of your own (dig a hole 1x1x1 ft and plant the seedling/seed in the soil you filld it with)

outdoor in the ground is easy if you plan it right and can plant em in a place where they get a lot of Sun

not uncommon to get +1 pound a plant, with the right genetic, sun/summer, and fertilizer

ps.
if you worry about thieves and Cops aso. you could tie em down, make em look every thing els then weed, I even seen People hang Red painted pingpong balls on em to make em look like tomato plants from a distance ..
that ping pong idea just sounds dumb.. lol sry to be rude but thats drawing un needed attention to ur girls, they would be less likely to notice the plant let alone a WILD TOMATO PLANT lmao :) sorry again im just smoking one n found that funny :P

Well time to for me to start seeds, 12 are going to be bagseed,
18 will be high quality strains: blue satellite, new york diesel, purple kush, and god bud

so 30 seedlings total. I cant plant all of them I'm only going to put 12-18 out in may. I don't have feminized seeds either so hopefully I have a good eye and pick mostly females. Hitting 4lbs is going to be tricky unless I get pound plants but I haven't before. Exciting year ahead anyway glad that its finally starting

5 seedlings are up out of 13 cracked beans. I found root aphids on the roots of the seeds so those didn't make it. but I have more seeds not sure what to do about the root aphids though. On a positive note a friend of mine is giving me some seeds vortex and agent orange. maybe a mean green martian we will see.

Interested to hear an update from you, i as well live in this shitty Mid West climate. I live on the border of Michigan and Indiana. Temps were perfect for 1-2 weeks, highs were in the 70's now it is around high 30's today... I am currently starting indoors. Plants are a few inches tall in a stealth cabinet under a few cfls. Going to transplant once i see the night temps not going below 45. I enjoy outdoor growing more than indoor.

get a jiffy 36 hole seed starter kit, about 10.00. Once they sprout , go forth and multiply like johnny appleseed.

germinate seeds in paper towel, once they all have cracked plant one in each spot. Have drips lines set up on timers and if you wanted to, also add some time released water crystals.
