Starting Auto in solo cup?

Wondering if any experienced auto growers could give some input on whether to start autos in the final pot or start them in solo cups.
I started my first 3 autos in cups and transplanted due to space issues and they seemed alright but this time around I can do whatever.

Cut 4 large windows in your solo cup, place inside another cup with drainage holes, fill with medium and seed, remove outter cup in 2-3weeks and plant in larger pot. Or run solo cups from start to finish

Well I'm by No means an experienced autoflower grower. But I do have a few handfuls of photo periods under me belt. This is the first and current autoflower I'm running I dropped the seed in its 1st n final 3.5 gallons of a good soil mix. And it took 4 days to break the surface, but then this happened.

I really didn't want to mess around with a transplant, as I hear if ya mess it up or for some reason it's not a smooth transplant then the stress might mess with final yeilds. But like I said. I'm New to autoflower myself. bongsmilie

Nothing wrong with solo cups if you can do a smooth transplant. I find it easy to do in soil but I tend to fumble it up in coco. Just keep in mind you want to transplant auto's early. They have a fast seeking tap root that you don't want to have bottom out in the solo cup. I find once this happens it limits the over all size of the auto. So try to have it in it's final pot before day 12.

Being curious together I tried jiffy cups, paper towel method and right into soil. All methods worked. But by far the less stress method is directly in a large pot. My own opinion

I transplant all my plants from starter pots to 3 gallons. They all turn into monsters. My own experience.
