Starting Over

I had been growing some plants for the last few months. It was my first time and I made a few mistakes. At one point the plants were almost baron basically just sticks with no leaves somehow I nursed them back and they turned out to be all males or herms. Go figure after the harsh life they had. So now that I am starting over I want to know what soil should I use? Keep in mind I limited to shopping at a home garden center not online or from any specialty shops. I don't really have the resources to do hydro either. So any suggestions on soil would be great. I had been using Miracle Grow potting mix. It worked well enough, but I know it was not ideal.

well at lowes or home depot you can get an ideal base for indoor growing
this is my personal mix. 2 parts peat moss. 1 part vermiculite 1 part perlite. i start my seeds in this. then i transplant to a bigger pot with a little 1/2 tea spoon mixed in with the original mix in my 6x6in pot to veg them out. then for flowering i transplant into 1 gal pots and use tiger bloom to flower

Ty, you that was mainly what I was looking for was a good way to make my own soil. The only thing is what do you mean mix in a little 1/2 teaspoon? and also I am limited on space can I jsut Flower them in the same 6x6 pots I veg them in? I know it will be a smaller plant but can it be done with out the plant dying?

i meant a full teaspoon of blood meal you can get it ad lowes or homedepot.
you could i would use cut milk cartons. heres my growing hero he grows in 20 oz gatorade bottles https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/132387-fantastic-fluoro-frenzy-252wcfl-grow.html. so yes it can be done

Thanks I will try that also those gatorade bottles sound like a really good way for me to have extra plants in the same area. The pots themselves only let me get 3 under my 20" florescents. I think I could do 5 bottles I may have to try that since I germinated way to many seeds this time lol
