So my plants are about 50cm from my 1000w hps light it cool tube, I've noticed the plants seem to be wilting and curling with signs of overwatering, I try to keep my soil moist but my moisture tester does point towards a bit of water lock at the bottom, however the issue may be the nutrients I've been it as I see some yellowing on some of the new growth , I only mixed minute amounts (5drops in a spray bottle).. Check out the pictures and tell me what you think

I think your roasting your plabts with way too much light.


You have a 1000w of light 50cm from young plants????

More light doesnt equal better.

You need to have a proper balance of light, co2 and food depending on the plants stage of life.

Those little plants dont need more than 400w at two ft.

Honestly it mught be quicker to start new, raise your light way up like 5+ft

Or get a dimmable ballast


Try to find clones it might be faster for ya buddy If not then pop some new seeds. Their fried man and it will take alot to bring those back

Yeah you wasting mula on them little ones 1k wattage to much, recovery possible with due diligence. If your soil isnt totally drying out you'll run into root issues soon enough, also looks like some type of lock out starting, so heat is not your only issue.

I have a dimmable ballast I should probably turn it down a notch

Temps average 25degree celcius with humidity at 55percent.. 1000w is the way to go u can't convince me less light is better, I have enough space to raise the lights 2.5m high and throw alot more plants in.. This is just the pre grow to test conditions

not referring to heat im referring to intensity
i understand everyone wants tight nodes and that's why they think keeping the light super close will be good but they are really stunting growth and cooking their plants. stranded lighting height is 22inches to 30 inches in veg and down to 18 inches in flower
a plant can only absorb and use so much light in a day once you start going over what it can handle the leaves will turn away from the light

I have 400, 600 and 1000 watt lights. The 1000 is not dimmable. I am experiencing heat stress on younger plants under the 600 in an air cooled reflector that is cooler than a cool tube. But light intensity can also screw up a photosynthetic plant. To the point of bleaching them with no heat stress.

Never said not to use the 1k, just said raise it up. Plants that small cant utilize that intense of light
