Took some oxycontin for a toothache. The pain is gone but now I itch all over. Nothing terrible but its pretty annoying. It was a 12 hr time release pill. Please don't tell me I'm gonna itch until it wears off!

Yeah man, took 4 morphine pills in 1 night. I just remember laying in bed... first my nuts started to itch, which is normal. Then my leg started to itch, so I went into the bathroom to make sure I didn't catch something nasty. Then EVERYTHING started to itch, my back, feet, head, arms. Felt like a real tweaker :D

You may always have that problem, I do, and it doesn't stop until it wears off some.

If you could take a lower dose you may be able to avoid the itching in the future.

For now cold water will fix it. 10 seconds under cold water and whatever did itch should ease up. Repeat as necessary.

It's a common problem with Opiates. You need to take an anti-histamine with your opiates.

I thought this was going to be a thread about STDs =O Sorry about that toothache, bro. I'm glad you don't have crabs. + rep :bigjoint:

My Balls normally itch when I'm on percs and the top of my feet. The next day i always wake up with a burning sensation from scratching too much. It's really a pain in the ass to deal with. Sorry to hear about your toothache. they kill me sometimes

its a mild allergic reaction. ask your doc, or dope supply for pain for hydros, they may not make you itch. i cant remember which one i get itchy to.

Uh, it's most deffinitly not an alergic reaction. It's an extremely common and typical reaction to opiates.

I suggest trying to get some Codien, it's a much milder Opiate but it still kills the pain usually without the itchin or tummy sickness.

Sucky itch that... when I came to after haveing my wisdom teeth removed I itched all over... had the anesthesiologist and nurses stressed for a minute until it stopped.
