Stealt pc growbox need help!!

Hi everyone
I am new here to the forums just made my account. I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to this will be my first indoor grow since I moved into my new place I have grown outdoors before this will be my first indoor grow I am planning on using an old pc case to make a grow box I need to make it stealth because I will frequently have guests over and I don't want anyone to know about it I have everything all planned out and will post pics ASAP but I need to know how to controll odor I am only planting one plant at a time I will be using lowryder I am not looking for a high yield just something for personal use my question is will one small lowryder smell up the room ? How do I controll the smell? I will be using 12 v pc fans for intake and outtake but I'm pretty sure those aren't strong enough for a carbon filter attatchment so my question is how bad will it smell and what can I use to controll the smell if it does? Thanks any Input in this will be appreciated

You could either make your own carbon scrubber(DIY forum has tutorials) or use ONA gel/block.
Even with a single plant, you are gonna get smell. It is a flower after all, a very unique smelling one at that.

Thanks for the reply beardedstoner. I've looked into the DIY carbon filters but I don't think a pc fan would be enough to pull air through it what do you think? It's a 12v pc fan? And I've looked into ona gel but I'm not getting the answers I'm looking for. Is the ona gel smell overpowering? The box will be in the same room I'm sleeping in n I'm wondering if the ona will be overpowering smell? Do I put it inside or outside? I've grown outside many times but I've used very skunky strains so I'm familiar with the smell but a buddy of mine have me some lowryder seeds and I'm not looking to grow them big at all il be happy with harvesting 10 grams but I've never worked with this strain or a plant this small I was told lowryder is low odour so will it be a slight smell or a powerful smell you would get from sour diesel?

I am a huge fan of ona gel, I only use a tiny chunk of it and stick it in my exhaust line, it works great for me. I've never used the whole can- even with my big grows (12-18 plants it was too much) and left my grow room smelling like a public bathroom. this stuff is strong and just a dab'll do- ya!
with only one small plant you should be good with just a tiny pinch.
Remember to cover your smoke smell too, I cant tell you how many guys I know that have crazy ass carbon filter setups in their grow rooms- only to blow a huge bong rip all over their living rooms. Fresh bud isn't the only smell that will tip off the neighbors!

Thanks for the reply spicy that's exactly the answer I was looking for. Any specific type of ona gel you would recommend ? Do they have different smells? And where could I find ona in a Walmart? Or a hardware store like homedepot?

Oh and have you ever worked with lowryders? This is my first time using them I know alot of people hate on them cuz of small yield n some say the buds aren't top quality but that don't matter to me I think it's a cool little plant plus I got the seeds for free lol

I'm not sure if walmart carries it, HD may be your best bet... I know they carry similar products like odo ban solid. I've only ever purchased it from Hydro shops or online. I like to use the ona block pro personally.

Of anyone has any experience with lowryders I could use some help I've got a few questions about them

A 12 volt PC fan "can" be big enough. There are lots of sizes for PC fans... A lot of different cfm rating as well... Some can be kind of loud, so watch out for that if doing a stealth grow.

It it does not take a lot of power to push air thru a carbon filter...

Yea I agree some pc fans probably can pull threw a carbon filter but the ones I have are only 64cfm so they're really not that powerful. I'm trying to keep this as low budget as possible I only plan on buying the lights n maybe some ona gel. It's pretty much an experiment to see what I could produce in a pc box lol. And yes it's going to be stealth because I have friends and other guests that will be coming over alot n I do t want them to smell it or hear it. I have grown outdoors before but this is my first indoor stealth grow. This may sound dumb but what if I make some type of fabric sheet filter to go over the exhaust? I know it won't get rid of the Odour completely but maybe it will mask it somewhat? Any suggestion are appreciated.

Look for a carbon filter pad at Lowe's. It will help.

my my only experience with lowryders are all bad ones and have nothing to do with a strain of weed. Lol

i have a pc box that i used to use for a veg chamber with a mother and mini clone machine in it, enough space to make 4 small clones. when it heated up it really got the smell of growing into the room even with a good ventilation, i attempted to build my own carbon scrubber but that only lasted a few days and it stunk it it up quick. try that ona gel they say it works. ive never used it.

i havent had any lowryder, i know that its supposed to stay short stocky, as far as the smell, in my opinion,if my pc box stank up the whole room just vegging, then im sure that the smell of any flowering plant would do the same or more even if it is a "low odor" strain.

what i suggest is that you find a way to evacuate the air to somewhere that is less likely to be detected. i dont recommend this to anyone that isnt at least somewhat mechanically enclined, but what i did for my grow is i cut a hole in the drywall wall and pump it straight into the wall. i dont know where the air is going exactly but the smell is non existent and the air-flow in my box is not restricted. maybe if you could prop the box up at window height and pump the smell outside? ive been very creative when it comes to exhausting my grow rooms, one grow i had pumping it into the dryer vent that came out on the roof, that one was pretty slick.
