Here are some pictures with dimensions and a list of what I plan to buy. I just want to make sure everything is will work out in terms of keeping my grow room at perfect temps. I run about 78-80 degrees with the doors open and a a fan running in my room. But when the doors are shut, it heats up to about 90-100. So the doors are open till about lights off time. 18/6 hr rotation.

So I was planning on using a 6 inch booster fan as an intake 188 cfm.

in the bottom of the box, leading through a vent into the grow space near the fan.

I want to run this light

With a 400 watt MH/HPS switchable.

So for ventilation exhaust fan and filter I wanted to use

Both 6 inch at 400 cfm.

So before my pictures below my questions are?

Will these work together? With like the vacuum? I'm confused with this math stuff with the CFM? Think this will handle my light upgrade from the CFL's in pics below?

Do I just leave the ventilation on all the time? Or what kind of controllers do I need to keep my grow at a certain temp range?

I'm trying to keep the electronics I need for ventilation on the very cheap. Plus I need something I can just plug into a surge protector. Need everything to be wired.

The items above are just the basic idea I have going through my head, all this stuff is getting over my head....please help!!

I appreciate all suggestions and help in advance!

In the pics.. I have one cord coming out the back, and I have more 6mil panda plastic for the upper sectio, just waiting till I get my ventilation rigged, since their are holes in the back of the box. I use to do custom fab sheet metal, so I can cut this box pretty well, like the middle shelf. So I can mod these back panels (removable in 1 foot sections) for my ventilation needs. I plan to cut the top shelf, just like the middle, to adjust my lights higher and to rig my exhaust fans.

No, this cab is pretty tall, and is already a pain in the arse to move around. its about 6.5 feet tall. I didn't have heat issues till I lined my room with the 6mil panda plastic. Now it's pretty air tight down there and is just storing the heat.

I know the plants need the circulation, but what's the point of the ventilation investment if it doesn't keep the temps down? Or will the airflow keep everything cool? I just don't understand this concept at all. I would understand if having fresh air from outside, but this cabinet is just in a bedroom that has a fan and great circulation, about 80 degrees because its still summer. I live in an apartment, so no running exhaust anywhere else.

Besides I need to know if the math will work with the light upgrade, and temperatures before I invest, and other stuff I'm missing. Otherwise it's just open doors for now.

I was reading that people do air flush 3 minutes every hour, but looking and reading more and more, I just get way too confused.

I just want fresh air, and good temps. What equipment do I need for this? Looking for on the cheap, maybe part by part.
