ok so this is my 3rd grow. the first 2 were a soilless mix that i had mixed results with. this grow will be a shallow water/NFT type system that i made myself. I keep the PH at 6.0 and not sure on the ppm ,i use half strength of what feeding schedule suggests and see good results. I use fox farm nutes just basic GB,BB,TB + pineapple rush sweetener. I'm currently at day 12 from planting the rooted clones. i started with 3 from seed plants in the small cabinet, and 12 clones. one died due to my ripping its stalk off when i tripped (damn it!!) and 3 others just didn't root quick enough so i removed those and switched out with the 3 i had in the mini-cabinet. All comments are welcome good or bad as i love the info i get from them.

Looks interesting. What size CMH bulb is that? It looks like you have a CFL in there as well?
Also, do your roots ever clog those pipes as you get later into your grow? How long do you veg for? And what are the dimensions of your cab?
Sorry for all the questions. I purchased a 250w CMH lamp + ballast that I want to install in a small-sized cab, but haven't quite figured out what the minimum size could be, so I'm curious how your temps are, what kind of ventilation you're using, etc.

ok im sorry for the confusion the small cabinet is where i start seeds and clones it has a 70 watt hps, a 6500k 85watt cfl, and a 2700k 55watt cfl. the dimensions of this cabinet are 15" wide 24" tall and about 11"deep. My larger area is actually the crawl space under the stairs of a split level house. In this area which is 38"x38"x44"tall i have a 400watt cmh in a air cooled reflector that i exhaust through. the setup works like this, reservoir holds approx 10 gallons and 4" pvc holds about 2 gallons, each site is individually top drip fed. The 3 larger plants in the back are 5 weeks old from seed cut back heavily for clones and have been in flower for 2 weeks in the small cabinet but i moved them into larger one today. the rest of the plants are 12 days in to veg and im flipping them tonight to match the larger plants schedule. i dont know if the roots will clog my pipes but being that im only vegging for less then 2 weeks im hoping ill be ok. something i added was a extra pump in the res. on a light switch for emptying the res for solution changes makes it alot easier.

thats good. you ll have a great comparrison on the hps/cmh stuff.
did you use HPS for veg, or bloom only?
im using the CMH for Veg now, and bloom. so far i do think i see closer nodial clumping compared to the sister clones my buddy has under his T5. but a bit early to tell, but it appears imgoing to be more busy, which is what im shooting for. shorter busy grows. atleast for these first 2 clones.
but its looking good for the CMH on veg. i may get a 2nd for my veg light. still need to get my veg light, so waiting to see how the cmh does, and compare it a bit. got 2 or 3 weeks of current time, before i have to start looking at going to bloom for the current girls.
