You have a weird definition of "monster".
I see nothing in them that couldn't be done just as well with a 250W HPS for a tenth of the price or less.

Took me about 5 minutes to look at the pix.. didn't bother with the rest.
Yeah, I've only been growing for 15 years or so.. I know nothing.
Makes me wonder if you've ever grown under HIDs, though.

Adhesive was one thought, but I like the idea of screws. I'm more of a mechanical guyso I'm leaning towards that for the time being. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Right now my fav is cmh and led and par t5 together. 3 330 watt cmh cover twice the area of a 1000w. I.get an average of 5.5 zips per plant in 7 gals.
I have a 1000.w quantum / digilux / spartan hood w/ glass for sale. Btw check my journal entries for par t5 vs 1000 w oh t5 won. Remember its about par. Lumens and watts mean nothing.
No way you looked at all pictures. Still takes 3 -4 days to go through them. Alot of those were wider than beer cans. If your arm is wider than that then you are a body builder or you are popeye
Btw that video.was all 12/12 from seed.

They have convinced me now that everyone here is a child when it comes to growing and we should bask in the glory of their wisdom.Maybe I should drag a plant over in front of my computer screen so the glow of their wisdom can transform it.They can grow buds the size of our arms with 250 HPS,which I bet they will tell us is almost the size of their dicks too.Hallelujah,we've been saved.

I clicked on every on of those posts you listed hyroot and they were pretty good but there were alot of obvious ameteur mistakes I saw immediately and skimmed through the pictures as well. All I had to look at was late flower growth, stalk size and node separation and nothing I saw came close to any HID grows I have seen. Im not kidding, I have seen plants only 4 feet tall with nugs that are 18 inches long with a 4 to 5 inch diameter on them, so far I have yet to see that anywhere for LED.

I can tell you might have ran things back in the 90's and 2000's judging by your setup, it's old school and that is what your comfortable with. The results you probably got under HID isn't noticeable to you because you havn't seen it yourself

Nope dont believe you. No you didn't r you would of saw big buds. Green Santa , astir and trueg had big buds with no node spacing. Trueg's are like 2 ft long and as wide.as half his head. But you didn't see that pic did you.
How is my set up old school. Quantum has only been around since 2007 and digilux 2009. Aquarium t5 bulbs weren't around til 2011.
My Apollo was made in 2012.

Honestly situation you need to chill out. There are plenty of very impressive LED grows on here. You haven't offered up any pics or videos of your grows. This is a community where we all come to share, discuss and learn. Things are what they are here and if you don't like it leave. You will not find another LED forum with the half quality info and knowledge of the guys here. Hyroot being one of them so check your self.
One big thing is very few of them are 1000wled vs 1000whps...and yes cost have a lot to do with that. But if you are talking about purely performance/power, then it's all about intensity in PAR...which LED's will hold there own just fine. You say your and engineer yet it seems you know nothing about light and how it drives photosynthesis.
This year has already had a decent size leap in tech and it will only keep getting better. Even on the shitty lumens scale led's can now surpass all hps. But yes price is what keeps the smart at home guys from going straight for the gold and must wait for a company to employ it which takes way longer than it should. If you ever get into the game your self instead of growing vicariously, then you will learn the good and the bad like the rest of us did.
Here is one of my favorite examples of great led buds... 600hps's vs Apache's

LED yielded 1318g using 960w(1256w actual draw)
And those are 4yr old technology that Nasa, Stanford, and the USDA all support and use, and for the simple reason that they straight perform.

First off i just checked that video and there is no way they had 1318 grams. Also, they support the research that is being done not the results. I'm not saying that someday LEDs won't be better but as of now they are now. Here is what talking about with only 1600w actual draw I get 1900-2200 grams.

Havana no way that 4 lbs. Maybe 450 grams at most. The measuring far shows Tue buds are 6-8 inches long. They are skinny too. $650 in nutes. Your getting ripped off. I spend $50 on nutes every 4-6 months. I yield on average a little under 2 lbs every 4- 5 weeks.

LOL look at the tape measurer and and its only day 42 so sweeling has just begun. Those buds are 4 inches wide and that picture was taken 5 feet away. I guess accusing me of using other peoples pictures is your way of complimenting me and not believing that that could be done. those buds are 16 inches long on some and have just begun to swell up. Ill show u another picture in 2 weeks and u can let me know what u think about fatness.

Those are 2 inches wide. The measuring tape in the other pic was upside down measuring 6 inches long.
