stealth grow under cfl!

It is weird because the bigger plants look like they need more nitrogen and zinc, but also show signs of nute burn. It could be a lockout condition.

What is the PH of your water? What nutrients are you using?

Because of over watering, consider mixing a bunch more perlite in your soil. Maybe 20% more. That will really allow it to drain through while keeping the soil moist enough for growth without being completely saturated. You'll water more, but the trade off is great.

No its def not nute burn, coz when they got it they didn't have any nutes at all, not even in the soil, they got that just before I transplanted them, they were very close to the lights and so on, not sure but as soon as I moved up the lights the yellow stopped..I'm not sure what happend there.

The ph I tested the other day was 6.4 for the one fed with purified water and 6.2 for the one fed with nutes at 1/4 recomended dosage. I'm using sea grow liq organic fert. Canot get anything else now..as you can see the new leaves of #1, the bushy plants, are not yellow or black or anything, they are perfectly fine, ever since transplanted them and started feeding them

I checked on them today, growth is slower again, not sure why, they havnt had nutes for about 5 days I think, will water tomorow morning, 3days after my last watering. They will receive nutes with their next watering, the last 2 waterings were purified water only. As soon as the next set of leaves are big enough I will top #2 and start lst, I moved the smaller light closer to the right of #2 to help with the growth coming from the sides. I decided that when they are 2 months old they will go into flowering, I will buy 4 more 26watt 2400k cfl and flip them! After that my better grow will start, will get legit soil etc with some cheese seeds! Will upload pics tomorow

They are over 4 weeks old already..they are just small. If you read everything you would know that..

finally I can update! Been having problems with logging in and so on..so its day 37 already! Actually the slowest 37 days of my life! Today is pure water day for them, hope they will pick up again as everytime I water them I see a difference in growth!

#1 still has not really stretched, not idea why, but her side branches are bursting through se sides! So I moved ons light closer, the smaller 26watt cfl I had left, I also topped her last night so it will be a slow recovery, but I'm still testing this are, see what space I have to play with so I'm want them to bexome nice and bushy!!

#2 has stretched a lot since the last update, well about 3cm! Her lateral growth also picked up and branches are coming from everywhere. I fimmed her a few days ago, maybe 5, she's only growing 3 or 4 new tops, think I fucked it up but its fine, like I said still learning!

I decided to scrap the clones, will make later!

The MAIN thing is I saw hairs..right at the top, 2nd node from the top the are little green tipe balls things that looks like they have burst open with 2 little white hairs poking out of it..now I have done a lot of research but its still my first time doing this so I can't be sure, but the plants have been under 24/0 since seed, so are those pre-flowers or what can they be?? I'm kinda excited coz if its a female I will be very happy! No sign of any of this on #1 yet.. In the pics you will see a very very small spec of white ate the second node, its really really small on the photo and the. Cam I'm using is from my cellphone so its shitty pics..

Checked on them again and the little hairs have gotten a little bigger, stille only 2 sets of hairs..one 1 node on opposite sides, hope they get more soon!

It MUST be female preflowers, #2 got more, about 6-8 sets of them..on about 3 of 4 node there is a little thing with 2 white hairs coming out of it! Saw that #1 started developing something there aswell, so far just a little bump there but its coming on more than 1 node so only time will tell! Will update tomorrow with some pictures and so!

Its almost 1 month and 2 weeks! Damn if only they grew like they are doing now! Most of the growth came from the last 2-3 weeks. So they have been doing well, I changed the lights a little, moved them to their side and added the reflector too, they had another fert feed today, I feed them every 3 days in the morning at 8 and nutes every other day.

I changed the lighting from 24/0 to 18/6, watched their lights switch off at 12 for the second night, will go back on at 6, I'm using a digital timer.

#2 is doin very well, after a long struggle of being fimmed, transplanted, moved, everything, she is bushing out and growing nicely, will start fim in about 1 week! Fimmed top is doing good and sprouting out a few tops! And the hairs on the nodes have increased so she is definitly a female

Nice you got the cfl mounted sideways plants looking rad dude should try add another cfl like the colour of that small one which is warm white 2700k . Thats if you got females cant tell quite yet but you should change the photoperiod to 12 /12 dude . Peace keen to see the results .

Yeah took the advice haha I went looking today in my lunch hour, culdnt find any cfl above 15watt so I skipped it, I'm going to get 2 more 2700k before switching to flower, but do you think I should flip them? I thought about waiting till day 60 as they are not yet at their full potential? The 1 is femail, the other I'm not sure about yet. Would like to get some advice on hould flip them to 12/12, thanks!

Depends on how much vertical space you have and weather you`re planning to add your extra lights on the side or the top . Remember that the lights don`t penetrate far so you don`t want a tall plant like 1 and a half foot 2 foor max and the plant can get two or three times larger during flower depending on strain so this being a low wattage setup you`d probably want to put it into flower realy soon . Oky cool thanks I changed the timer now, will go off at 12 tonight as usual but instead of going on at 6 it will go on at 10 and off at 10 again so then it will be 12/12! Thanks for the advice, will start flowering tomorrow, try and add some lights by tomorrow aswell and then get some flowering nutes! Can I use rose flowering nutes?

Okay sweet have they got any more hairs yet ? Noticed that these fluro`s seem to have a nice female ratio if you veg with mostly the cooler spectrum from 4/5 plants that made it long enough to sex , only had one male so far these 2 pure sativa`s currently few weeks into flowering . Then two other plants are from skunk 1 or afghani bagseed hairs on em so hopefully female and hopefully yours turn out female . For flowering you can use various flavours of mollases to give your bud different flavours ,the closer to pure mollases the better and soon because the plant apparently stores the sugars for flowering or something . But if you in the states i`m sure you can go to like walmart and get some decent flowering nutes like the established brands like foxfam or miraclegrow or whatever , I don`t know because i`m in Africa . I went recently too a nursery and they had a variety of nice organic solutions these are in liquid form and need to be diluted .
Try and stick away from those chemical rose surface fertz in bags though i experimented with various quanities of it on outdoor plants in the past just seem to burn the shit outta them .

Yeah the taller 1, #2 is def a female, still waiting dor the other 1 to show, but I also hope its a female! Good to see your female/male ratio is looking up! I'm also in africa, I'm in south africa so here I can't ger foxfarm and those things..but I can get like rose or tomato ferts easy..what's a good substitution? You can propably get the same I can get? I'm almost on lunch, will go and have a look and see what I can get that's close to me, otherwise on monday I will go check at the nursery, but I won't get anything like foxfarm.. And thins like worm castings, what's that? We have "erdwurms" same as earthworms, is that the same thing as worm castings? Have no idea what molasses are, will have to take a look at that! Will check out your grow now, cool to see what other people can do with cfl's

Aweh also in SA Mollases is like syrup or you will find it by the syrups and honeys in any supermarket . If you go to a nursery try look for nitrosol its a solution so is in a bottle with an orange lid and pictures of veggies and flowers on.It has all the nutes you need and is recommended by loads on local indoors growers bottle is about 70 rand will last you many grows and its organic so you`re herb will just taste better .

Aweeee where is SA are you? Damn never thought anyone on this site would be from SA haha yeah I saw that today in pick and pay today actually, can I use that for flowering then?? I'm using "sea grow" now, white bottle with brown liquid inside that stinks like shit! I used that during veg. Shot for the seed shop, will check it out quick. I went to game today to get 2 more 20 watt 2700k cfl's but 7 of their tills were closed on a saturday at 13:00! Rows were going on forever so idecided fuck that, will check tomorrow! Flowering has officialy started! Day 44, 1 day into flowering, their lights just went off at 10 and will go on at 10 tomorrow morning!

I checked out the site, I'm just not sure if its safe to send something around in SA like seeds to a post office and having to collect it myself..without knowing that someone in SA got it without a problem I don't know if I will be willing to take the chance. This is one place I don't want to be locked up

But yeh i`d rather just grow bagseed . Yeh its hard to find high wattage 2700 k cfl around here pisses me off . Yeh that kelp stuff stinks works well but not so good to use indoors only for smell but can still be done but yes that nitrosol can be used to flower i just started using it two days ago though , but a few hps users recommended it too me .
