It's roughly 7-7.5 to start. That's what's ticking me off. It's just like "Hey dude, screw you.. You see this 5.5-6 PH you got? Yeah, sorry dude, no. I'm going back to 7.5 and there's nothing you can do, because I'M WATER! AHAHAHA!"

Well, Therion,cool down. Relax. Many growers start with an unsatisfactory pH level. No matter what you start with, pH it down, if you do not have any pH DOWN, use baking soda. Get the water RIGHT, then add the nutes and get it RIGHT again. It will then stablize.

I'm using Technaflora PHU and PHD. I'm starting to think this stuff just isn't strong enough to do the job and I'm about to start kicking some ass.

On the upside, this plant is still growing. It's growing slow, but it is growing.

I'm not really that mad, but it's just like this ghost that keeps following me around.

A small lizzard walked thru the woods of the jungle, he saw this monkey, up in a tree, smoking a joint, getting wasted.
Down on the ground below, the lizzard, a good sized lizzard about 18 inches long, walks by and smells the smoke. He looks up and sees the monkey smoking a J and says

"Hey, you up there, Monkey, I wish I could hit that joint with you". I used to get high with Roseman all the time.

Being a cool dude and friendly and very very high, the monkey replies

"well, sure, Lizzard, any friend of Roseman's is a friend of mine, can you climb this tree and get up here?"
and the lizzard says
"Yes, I am on my way up" and the lizzard climbs the tree and finishes the joint with the monkey.

Then the monkey says
" Hey, Lizzard, do you want to smoke another one?" and the lizzard says
"yea, sure, but I got cotton mouth so bad I can barely talk. Is there any water around here?"
Monkey says "yea, sure, right on the other side of those trees is a big river full of water, go get yourself a drink and hurry back and I'll have one rolled and ready when you get back" .
So the lizzard finds his way to the river, but being so stoned, he slips and falls in at the edge.
"HELP, Help" the lizzard cries, "Save me, I am drowning and I can not swim" !

About that time a ten foot long alligator swims by and yells
"Hold on little cousin, I'll save you" and the alligator swims up to the lizzard, lifts him up on his nose and carries him to the river bank and lets him go on to the land.
The lizzard says "Oh thank you, thank you cousin, I was so stoned from smoking some good reefer that I slipped and fell in the river".
The alligator says "Cousin, I wish I could smoke some good reefer too"
and the lizzard replies
"There is a very friendly monkey up in a tree with a bag full of some killer weed, on the other side of those trees. Just follow the smell, find the monkey and ask him. He's friendly and will gladly share. I'm too stoned to smoke any more".
So the alligator follows his nose to the other side of the trees, smells the smoke, looks up, and yells
"Hey, Monkey, let me hit that joint with you"
the Monkey looks down and says

" Good God Lizzard, how much water did you drink? " !!!!!!!

therion, I think you are doing TOO MUCH. I have checked my Ph like once or twice, mine is always high, I put a couple drops of ph down in there, or whatever I dont know if it works or not I just do it... Seems like your are trying too hard cuz its not that hard.

so my super plan is...

just clean out the resevoir in your bathtub, completely with hot water and hydrogen peroxide. fill it back up, dont even check your pH. put 1 tablespoon of FF nutes. put a frozen bottle of water in the res, to keep the temp of the water down. make sure somehow the roots are getting water fed to them, eaither by the feeding tube or just fill up the res til they touch...THEN LEAVE. DONT MESS WITH ANYTHING. dont check ph, dont adjust your lights, dont move anything around just leave it. dont TOUCH anything for 3 days...if your plant is dead in three days, its a piece of shit and start over. if its healthier or healthy, send 50 dollars via paypal to [email protected] :bigjoint:

yeah man, I understand that plants need the ideal PH, but you know what, my plants are huge, huge buds, and I think I have checked PH twice since growing. Dont mess the PH, do this instead...buy 6 gallon containers of distilled water. flush your res, fill it up with the new distilled water. After the containers are empty, fill them up with faucet water let them sit for 24 hours and use those to fill and refill..dont mess with PH, its all good, dont need to be too technical right now, let that thing grow...quit adding this and that...feed and water..when he or she gets older, then worry about it, if the leaves are standing and the thing is nice and green, its getting food...no worries

Well after using more of Rose's superpowers, I diagnosed and found a fix to the problem.

The FoxFarm nutes are reverting my PH back. My theory is since they're organic, they're constantly releasing more/less chemicals in the water. Eventually resulting in a PH of 7-7.5 (it fluctuates). When I cleaned res and put in my Fertilome nutrients, the PH hit a constant 6. Over the course of 4-5 hours, it was 5.9 on the next check.

Lastly, I believe the FF nutes are so strong compared to my PH down, it would take an exponential amount to bring me where I want to be and keep it steady. I don't have the money to constantly be buying PH products.

The last plant has now perked up a bit. I think it's probably a goner after all of the abuse but I am going to try to coax it back to health and see what happens.

Also, today my buddy that grows his own gave me about 1000 seeds to play with. I guess he mated a couple plants out of boredom. No clue what they are, but hey, 1000 seeds to play scientist with, I'm down.

And on the upside of the day, bought a half of shwag today for $30 and it turns out, this is some of the best shwag I've ever had. It's 3 whole buds about 5 inches long. Maybe 20 seeds per bud... and it's not overly compressed... Thank you Mexico for this not-so-great but relatively decent product at an honest price! I salute thee!

Haha, I probably have atleast several thousand seeds. I got all of my stoner buddies to save any seeds they get. When March rolls around I plan on doing a few geurilla grows so those will come in handy. The plants my buddy grew got to be about 5 feet tall and gave him 6-8 ounces per plant... he didn't even fertilize them, he just plucked males... It wasn't horrible weed either, better than that brick shit you get from Mexico. :)

I started new plants yesterday. Going to use this Fertilome fertilzer I have since it's holding the PH better. I'll try the FoxFarm nutes when the plants get big enough to take care of themselves. I have 4 new sprouts and I'll see where these puppies take me. If they don't last a week, I'll take them out and try some more.

I have a constant group of seeds germing right now since I have so many seeds from the same plant. Going to keep germing them 5-6 at a time and trying plants until I get this shit right.

And go back And read Longhorn's thread.
And, I hope those seed are INDICA and not Sativa. It's very difficult to grow mature Sativa in Bubbleponics, they get too tall.

Quit worrying about that PH stuff...remember a plant grows naturally in the wild, it receives alot harsher conditions than what you are giving it at home in a controlled environment. Until you get a few grows under your belt, let it roll, dont worry about PH, just feed according to the advice and directions you have gotten and concentrate more on your lights being in the right spot then dicking with PH...trust me, you will thank me later...

I dont think hes reading anything we are saying, cuz all I read is the same thing over and over, pH this pH that. I'm done trying to help you therion. If you want to grow right, listen to what all these people are telling you. All of us cant be wrong. You are wrong. READ THIS THREAD and you are guarenteed enough knowledge to succesfully grow in a bubbleponics system.

nice work guys been watching for a while, got my bubbleponics this week still working on grow area and good clone, but hope up soon. This sounds shitty but wanted to thank you for your mistakes, has saved me time and money.

I'm aware the nutes aren't PH balanced. I don't have money to go buy anything else, so I'm just going to use what I have, and to hell with PH crap, blah blah blah, nutrients... I'm just going to put water in the tub, pour in some stuff, and let it sit..

Honestly, I don't understand half of what you guys tell me. It just doesn't make any sense in my head. A lot of this stuff is just beyond me. So I'm just going to shut up and quit posting and get out of everyone's hair. Good luck.

i dont ph my water but i use drinking water from our IocaI .35 fiIIup. amazing wat this water wiII do , and nutes respond purfectIy. Ionghorn fan were gonna wip techs ass nex week and i Iive just down the road from tech,haha. heres orange bud pic..fini crop. got 9 dry ounces , but heres a smaII pic...
