Stealth-ish Cabinet Build

haha. I don't throw anything away either. my wife reminds me quite regularly. unfortunately I don't have Any of that stuff lying around. I'll hit up home depot, lowes, and menards. surely I can find it. if not, I'll look up a garage door guy. thanks a ton.
the solid rubber may work for you,it just didnt for me.good luck.

I picked up a couple strips of this stuff. it's flexible foam but it is made to slide into a slit in a wooden door frame. I think there's enough lip to run small screws through it. I just don't trust adhesive weatherstripping. I also couldn't find the brush kind. but I think this will work better in my application anyway. gonna find out sooner or later. lol

Finally got out to the barn today to get a little work done on this cabinet. Drilled a couple 3 5/8" holes for passive intake. I covered them with some shitty vent filter material to keep dust and bugs coming in to a minimum. I drilled a 7/8ish" hole below those for the drain i made on the tray.
I tweaked the scrog frame so it fits now as well.
I made a stand out of PVC to lift the tray up a bit so I could add the drain.
I riveted the hinges back onto the door to sturdy them up a bit.
I added the lock to the door to keep nosy little bastards out of there.
Now I just need these 50 day old cocksuckers to show their sex so I can pick which ones go into the cabinet.

TCH- Any updates on the build? I'm working on a cab very similar to yours. Looks great so far.
Not so far. I took clones from all 4 of my plants and put them.on a 12 12 schedule and 2 rooted and are doing well but still won't show a sex and that's been like 2 weeks. I'm real close to just picking one plant and putting it in the cabinet and gambling. The stems are 3/4" thick or more now and just beefy as fuck but they still won't tell me what they are.

Man that is frustrating.

Question on your build. In your opinion, would putting an intake vent on the backside of a metal cab and exhaust out the very top(not backside), that wouldn't be any different than and intake vent on the side/exhaust out the top would it?

Going for passive but I don't want to still holes and regret the spots. I want total stealth and only feel best putting the appropriate holes on the back and top verse sides/top.

I see no reason that wouldn't work. Just remember that heat rises and will go up so exhaust high up as you can. I went out the side because that's how my giant ass fan and filter fit.

Yeah it is way bigger in person than when your seeing pics off it online.

Do you experience much humming or vibration from having your fan/filter direct fitted without duct?

This might just be crazy enough to work. did you get the screw on type?
I would recommend sealing it with rubber seal from Trim-lok. I found them online and bought it on amazon. Go on their website because they have a ton of information on how to pick the seal size and material for the project you are using. I bought the cheap stuff from home depot and it peeled off in a few months. Trim-lok with the 3m backing is on for good! It is $30 but well worth it down the road.
