ok so i have an old upright freezer that looks like a refrigerator you know like one from the 60s or 70s im thinking about turning it into a stealth grow closet.
my question is would anyone like me to make a step by step guide with pics while i do it? also i would like some input for what i should put in it
the freezer i believe is around 3x3x 5-6 im going to remove the shelves and mount lights from the top and maybe some on the sides.

my ideas are

250w or 400w hps or mh lamp maybe some cfls on the sides

fans

cover inside with mylar or something similar

any suggestions questions or criticism? i will post some pics of the freezer in a lil while.

In a small confined space I would suggest an LED panel or a couple of UFOs, I hope the Hot Light crowd doesn't flame me to bad for that.

the mh light spextrum puts out alot less heat but less light as well, how would you get air circulation...ive always wanted to use a big fridge with it running to cool the lights, if you were electrically inclined i bet you could connect a thermostat

Drill all holes in the back of the fridge. If you want it stealth, Make small boxes that are missing a top and side and spray paint the inside flat black then glue them over the holes. They work great. I made two my self years ago. You will also need plenty of air circ in such a small space. I used Axial fans (large CPU fans) everywhere! Even with all of that temps would get out of control. Good luck!!

i think im going to use a 6" inline fan to remove hot air or a centrifugal fan because i just happen to have one laying around and i think that will remove the hot air pretty well.
i still havent got a chance to go look at the freezer yet because its in the new house im moving into but i should have some picks tomorrow of it. i still havent decided exactly what im going to use it for yet though whether it be getting clones started, growing some full size plants, or just keeping a mother going because im going to have lots of space after my move so im really just building it for shits and gigs
