Stealth Wardrobe Grow

Hey everyone at RIU I been doing alot of reading on this site and couldnt find many wardrobe grows so I decided to put my plans on here and see if anyone has some good input for me.

First off I will be starting with a wardrobe aprox. 71"h x 40"w x 20"d(pic below)
I plan on putting clones on the top shelf a mother plant with about 200w cfl in the left side and having 4 plants put on 12/12 from clone in the right side under a 400w hps. The four plants will be in 8.5" 10l pots.

Now, some questions that I hope can be answered......
1)would the fan 240cfm (pic below) be enough intake of cool air with an ac on the outside room and have the fan blow over the canopy, i dont plan on an exhaust fan
2)I dont plan on an intake or exhaust on the mother or clones because it will only be a cfl light..would the temps be to high with ouside room kept at around 68 degrees
3)is the enough room for 4 plants straight to 12/12 in a 53 1/2"x20"x20" area
4)would 2 ona gels be enough to eliminate the smell

If I can get the answer to these questions and maybe even some good tips on how to make this a better setup I will be glad to post pics when everything is under way....p.s. this grow has to be discret so any info on that would be helpful too.

ROLLITUP and Smoke on.......:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

You're gonna need to exhaust the 400. I have 2 wardrobe cabinets converted, one with a 400hps(flower)and one with LED and fluorescents(veg) they are both 48"x21"x70"ish bought from HomeDepot. In the 400hps I have a 4" intake at the bottom for cool fresh air and the top I have a 4" intake and 4" out and to the attic for the sealed hood and the temps are in the mid 70s during peak temps. The LED cabinet I have no intake or exhaust and it gets mid to high 70s. The room is kept at 65 with the help of a window a/c unit. For smell, I'm just about to get their and I'm not sure about the ona gels?, never used them.

In a space that small you are going to need a serious exhaust fan with 400W, even in a cooltube. I would say a 6" inline fan on carbon filter for exhaust and a 4 or 6" fan of smaller CFM for the 400W cooltube. Even then depending on your ambient temperatures you might have heat issues. If the room can be kept 72F it should do fine. 200W of CFL will get that small area over 90F without any sort of ventilation, shouldn't be too difficult to cool with a passive intake and inline fan exhaust though.

That fan pictured you posted might work for cooling the light or blowing on the plants but it won't move enough air to use as a main exhaust, it's an axial fan and can't push air through much restriction (ducting and filters).

Might be better off with 1 plant veg, 1 plant flower in that small size, could do a very nice little screen of green with 1 plant. Easy to take care of, less to manage.

Don't rely on Ona gel to cover the smell, have an Ona gel bucket for backup but a carbon filter as first line defense.

Yeah, I have two 4" holes cut on top and one of them I just have drawing in cool air and the other is the exhaust sraight up to my attic. I actually just outgrew this cabinet and put the 2 plants I had in there into the closet in the room.IMG_0365.jpg

herb i was acually intrested in scrog and intrested in trying it...with a scrog are the yeilds any better than just straight growing a plant

I actually started bending the one in the pic cause it was getting to big and now I have about 8-10 colas. It's not scroging, but it is working for me.

Do you already have a cabinet? If not, I recommend the one from Home Depot, it is all white inside and out, thus eliminating the need for Mylar.$108 plus tax

Not sure how stealth you have to be but the fan will be the noisiest part of your set up. I have a 3x3 400w tent with a 4" Sunleaves 200 CFM inline fan pulling through my hood and blowing out of my DIY carbon filter so it acts as a muffler and its pretty quiet with great air flow. 6" is over kill since your only doing a 400W and I keep ambient temps at 70 with a window AC and inside the tent at the top of the canopy its 80 4" below the light which is perfect. Scrog would work great in your space, just line it with mylar and it should be bright as hell in there. The pictured inline fan in your first post might not be that quiet. so if you have a chance to plug it in before you buy it give it a try but remember it will be quieter once everything is connected.

I'm semi-discreet, so I'm able to vent to the attic. It's gonna be hard to mask the smell when your in your final weeks without a carbon filter. I started using these cabinets after seeing A dude on YouTube, check out growingclosets.com.

A 400w HID in that small space will definitely need an exhaust fan mate. Your plants will get huge to under that much light, you might want to consider just having one plant to start off with, top and scrog it and you should be looking quite a few colas. Good luck!!!
