It would have been a little hard to catch in the thread i constantly post BHO runs on... bit different but here watch what vacpurge did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07zXsaiAe14&feature=youtu.beStep 1: If you grow, get an electric coffee bean grinder and grind the shit out of your bud-leaf/trim and collect the thc crystals.
Step 2: Do a run of BHO with just the crystals, let the oil fall into a bowl of warm water.
Step 3: Collect BHO from top of warm water
Step 4: Stir up oil and drain excess water​
Step 5: Get fucking high!!!!

It's really cold where he is at so the butane isn't boiling much in the first bowl, and i don't think he uses warm water in the second bowl but i'll have to check. You picture looks sweet, his was a second blast over some material so that might have been why it looks more opaque.
I'm a pretty strict butane soak method guy lol...using a thermos, prechilled or not.
This was a run with LostCoastOG-Emerald Tri. 7grams of trim packed into the bottom of a prechilled 16oz SS thermos and 7 grams of broken up bud packed on top of that. Bud was broken pretty tiny, little bigger than i
would use to roll a joint. I think i only used 1can of vector quint and then about 15 seconds of the next can. It soaked for a couple hrs...ish. Butane doesn't extract but the smallest bit of water
solubles like chlorophyll and when it's cold and insulated i believe that rate slows down a bit. It also takes longer to extract oils, that's why you can soak for so long. After the soak i used a
25micron bubble bag sieve to filter the butane onto parchment paper lined pan....
In order of pictures:
-After initial butane visible boiled off at 40F outside covered from particulate.
-After collecting
-Warmed(80-90F) shot glass filled with Everclear, rule of thumb is 10:1 Everclear:BHO ratio. I also had some wax i wanted to winterize...like 0.2 grams haha
-As it dissolves
and before you throw it in the freezer for 24-48hrs-After 24hrs in freezer plenty of waxes have precipitated out.
-Another pic with flash on
-Around 36hr in freezer i filtered through smaller 25micron nylon screen. It seems to catch a lot of the waxes if not 99% of what i separated out of solution.
-A good shot of the color before it was slowly dripped onto a warmed(115F) pyrex pan for a very quick thin film evap.
-After scraping up.
-paper weight
-paper with winterized BHO
-Like the color??? mmmmmmmdank shit right there, with out a lot of the waxes it doesn't clog up lungs at all when dabbed or vaped, flavor is great too!

Long story short here is my second run finished product and beginning product...actually weighed both this time.
OH YA! i still missed the all important vacuum stage haha...that's at the very end when you're evaping the Everclear, you can do a thin film vacuum purge evap at 115F or just thin film open air and scrape together then place back into vacuum and leave it be at 115F for an hr or so depending how much you have and how thin you flatten it before vacuuming. Vacuuming is just a nice assurance that i've pretty much done everything to remove as much butane/everclear/water as i can
