Stench issues! Any Ideas?

I've got really bad stench issues and nosey roomates... Any ideas on the cheapest way to keep stench at a minimum?? I hate to hide the deliscious aroma :weed:... but I must :cry:...

there are some DIY carbon filters that you probably found already. But carbon filters are the sure-fire way to stop the smell. they are pricey but MUCH cheaper than getting busted.

Someone else suggested ONA block... ever used or heard of it, or if it works? Im doing a small 4 plant grow in my closet... I fear a carbon filter would be too big...

carbon filters are big, heavy bastards! the smell really depends. I've had 3 plants that barely smelled (but were still good smoke) and i had 3 plants that stunk up a 3 story house!

I have tried the ONA block and that didn't work for shit. But I heard the ONO Big Blue Ball works well (though I haven't tried it). You can also try an odor sock
Odor Sok - Activated Carbon Filters. Odour Sock makes carbon canister filters obselete. Perfect for hydroponics - Home
- they are very light weight and flexible and pretty effective.

You can also use a tube full of dryer sheets if you really get desperate - though i'm not sure if this would be completely effective.

Alright Ill look into all those things... the plants arnt smelling up the whole house but Im on the first floor so people use my bathroom a lot which has a door to the hallway, but also a door to my room. The smell has been seeping into my bathroom and people are like WTF >_>... lol thanks for the ideas

it can be hard being around the smell all the time too -- we get used to it so even more reason to be careful. good luck!

place a bowl of vinegar out in your room and replace it every 2-3 days with new vinegar.It won't make your place smell like vinegar but it takes the smell away. This only works for a couple of plants though:peace:

Try to get more people in your building growing, just one a day would mask your plants...tell them it's a tomato plant.

Here is the best DIY carbon filter I've seen on the forums. It would be cheap and seems like it would work perfectly. bout 2 months from now I'll be making one of those myself.

Walmart Has the Fabreeze Carbon Filter fan that will remove the stench and add a nice smell. its around 15 USD i have it and it works pretty good
the size is about 4 inces wide and 8 inches tall and has removeable filters you can get when the active carbon wears out

You know I tried the vinegar and it didn't work... then again i have 4 plants and they stink so good :weed:

I like those carbon filter ideas specially cause they're cheap and easy. porbably will get the one from walmart because i dont have an exaust vent to attach the other one to... so thanks for the replies everyone

Sounds like the same thing as this ONA block stuff someone told me about. Apparently its not very efficient at doin its job... Im going tomorow to get that filter from walmart that FTGMan was talking about, I'll let you know how that works.
