that is not supper croping. that is just pinching or bending. supper croping is when you take clone from plants that are 10 to 14 day in to flowering. it is a method used when you want to scrog grow.

Thank you for bumping this, I need to review it. My veg room is starting to get out of control. I got 10 clones at once and am trying to start a perpetual flowering room by moving one from veg to flower every 10 days.

I was curious if the first time you super crop, is it just below third set of leaves and just the main stem? I am at two weeks of growth, plants about 8 inches tall and looking good. Time for super cropping but want to do it right.

Do the plants straighten themselves out after super cropping or do you hav to tie them up straight against a stick or suttin?

They will begin to turn upwards after about 24 hours. It is pretty cool to see them head towards the lights even though you just bent them over

excellent! ill be concluding my second grow in a week here..from the first to now ive gained SO much experience and skills here at RIU!reading this post has enlightened me once again!ill def be incorporating this technique into my next grow!THANKS! i think just knowing "when to say when", with crushing the stems, is the only spot ill be sketchy about..i completely understand the biology behind it. so expect a possible PM here in a few weeks, when im nervously staring at my new crop...lol

You might be able to get away with it in the first week or two But its recommended to be done during Veg. This reason is so because you want to start flowering with an even canopy so everyone can grow at the same rate.

That's what I do and the branches below to spot you supercrop will grow a lot bigger.

Super cropping makes the stem stronger so it can support more bud sites that you will be creating . It also widens the "pipeline" of nutrients the stem carries making it stronger and more efficient.
Another thing, NEVER SUPERCROP A SICK PLANT, will just make things worse and the long recovery time will defeat the purpose of getting more buds.
