That's odd. I've grown their OG Kush and was quite impressed with the result. I've also grown Barneys Farm and Nirvana genetics. No complaints so I don't know why people always rag about their genetics. I guess it's the easiest thing to blame.

Check out Capulator. Dude absolutely kills it running double stacked CMH for veg and even has CMH flower rooms.

My first indoor grow setup was a “complete hydroponic growing system” bought from an ad in High Times. What I received was a cat litter tray, a bag of red bbq lava, an aquarium pump and literally a street light. HPS bulb. Oh yeah and a couple of 1 ounce bottles of nutes.

Cat litter tray unused and the light? Stretch like hell in veg. This was 1981 and grow experts were nonexistent. However a lady at a nursery in Colorado Springs filled me in on light types. And a metal halide bulb was ordered. Had to change the receptacle if I remember right.

We commandeered some HPS lights that were along a bike path sometime back in the late 70's. They were basically street lights. But all we took were the bulbs and when we finally got a socket for them we couldn't get them to light up. We didn't know that we needed the entire fixture that had the ballast in it. Bunch of dumb kids. I was about 13 at the time. I don't know what we were thinking. We didn't even have a place to actually grow with a light of that power anyway. But we were hoping to grow pounds. The stupid things you do in your youth. Good times. :bigjoint:
 
I hope it's not the lights. I had similar issues, especially the gapping between the oc-courss4

CMH is LEC? What distance from the tops. How many hours on that bulb. And what kelvin rating
 
Don't listen to the people saying it's the cmh, it's not. I think you might be running too weak nutrients, you said you use max 1.6 ec during flower right? I think Canna's recommended schedule is much higher than that. Maybe someone with some Canna coco experience can tell us what your ideal ppm/ec should be? I've never used that line but from their nute schedule they have you starting at 900ppm going up to 1540 ppm during peak flower-of course, you're right not to blindly listen to their recommendations, I would see what others are using for that line. I could be wrong, I just skimmed the answers, maybe someone else already mentioned it?
 
To me it looks like you harvested way early. I would try taking them ~11weeks. Not sure if they got stunted at some point or if you have late finishing phenos but they don't even look remotely ready.
 
anyone mention light leaks? And I don't know about nutes but look at the first pic looks like maybe an imbalance in proportion, like too much P.

During the colder months from 22-27C during lights on which run in the night time. Night time temps which run in the day time can be from 14C -18C. The 14C is the lowest temp and it doesn't stay that cold for long I would say it's probably a few hours it's that low.. Maybe I'm running the light too close in flowering. So much conflicting information out there I have read 12- 24 and always thought the closer within reason was best.

Yeah CMH is the same as LEC. Distance from 12-18 inches. New bulbs this year. 3100K which is the best all round bulb and has more red than the 4100k. Yeah I read that article from grow weed easy.

I EC in and out so I know what they are using. The leaves are very green so it can't be under feeding otherwise I would see nutrient deficiencies

If you can see in one of the pics the one in the corner is almost 5 weeks and it's barley shown it's sex or started to flower. that's exactly what i thought but I have sat in the tent and can't see any light leakage. that plant has a dehumidifier next to it and I have the console display turned off. I'm going to check again on that. Light leakage might be the cause of that one but not the original problem.

I let the last lot go to 9 weeks all the hairs were brown and they stopped growing so I chopped. They do look like they got stunted as growth stopped then started again causing new growth at the top but it is foxtailing

I do find it hard to believe it's the genetics as I have grown 9 different strains and all but 2 had the same growth problem in flowering.. I will have to buy more seeds just to eliminate the genetics.

I read thst 3100 was not so good and the other was.

Well i have a plant that's 9 weeks that was like that. Now its filling out.

I have only read that in that grow weed easy site. Everyone else say the 3100K is the one for veg and flowering. Even the site I bought them from say for flowering. I have also read people using both with good results.
