If this is your first time growing,, that plant looks FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!! Great Job. And no, age does not matter while in veg stage.
You going to finish that plant up in doors? I take it you are with the 400watt light.. that should do you very nicely.

As a general rule indica dominant strains double in size when flowering, whereas sativas sometimes triple or even more. From the picture your plant looks quite indica so I'd suggest around 2 feet before switching to 12/12.

Thanks for the compliment, this is my first grow also, if you veg your plant to be 4 feet then expect it to be 8 feet when you are finished, if you want a 4 feet tall plant then veg till about 20-24 inches and it will grow to about 4 feet, expect it to double in size during the flowering stage, start a journal if you have time!Thank u very much manyep this is my first grow and gonna finish it indoors with 400W. Atm its 1 feet high but purpose is something like 4 feets. When should I start flowering if I wanna grow it 4 feets high?

Have to add that I grow it in the closet and my whole room smells because of this tiny plant. I have no idea what smell is it going to give while flowering. From closer the smell is kinda sweet..not sour .

Ok,, here is how it works. On almost all first time grows if the plant is still alive it is a good looking plant. You plant even looks healthy. Does look a little stretched, but still a nice plant for a first go at growing.
As for the red/purple stems, do not worry about them, just keep the plant healthy. Seems to be doing good so far.
