Still a couple of details to be worked out for my setup.

If you ordered from the tude and paid for sealth shipping let them know customs cought it and they will reship it. And yep you could keep a bonsi mom in the propigator tent. Theres some good threads around the net on them. Or just lst the mom. You only need 3 cuttings a cycle so you only need one small mom.

I know... I already emailed them because it's been a long time and they told me that on Oct 2nd if I haven't received it yet they'll reship it or something. I don't know but I'll be ordering along with what I was supposed to get (6 rocklock, 2 vanilla kush). I'll take advantage of the October RP promos :)

A friend of mine gifted me a (shitty) 15w 2foot T8 tube and ballast. He said to me: "yeah I bet with only 3 plants you'll be good with that"
I was like "mhhh, for clones?". He's like no for everything...I started laughing...he wasn't, so I figured he was serious.
No wonder he grows like 40 plants, and that's just for him and his gf... LOL

Thought I'd share that heehe
On the other hand, what would be a good CFL wattage for a Mum? I was thinking of adding 4x 23w daylight or 2x 42w daylight?
Does that sound alright, or would that be too "cheap"?

Thanks guys!

That's the part that is odd. Why would customs hold it? It's not illegal to import, buy or sell seeds in Canada. Customs has no reason to seize it. It's probably just delayed (they are backed up).

I know it's not illegal, but most of the time it is for illegal use. I've read some stories on here that the Canadian Customs smashed their seeds.
It might be possible that they are holding it because they know it's content. I've scoured the net trying to find something about a delay...nothing.
I don't know...that's just my opinion.
Do you have any insight about my questions? that'd be great...you've been very useful so far +rep ( I never think about it :wall: )

I built a cfl hood today for my dp90. The hoods 2ft long and houses 4 23w 5500k cfls. Really lights up that little tent well. My previous cloning method was to set the dome on top of the t5 fixture in the mom tent then hang a single 23w cfl over head. New tents 92w just for clones. my moms are in a 4x2 tent with a 4ft 4bulb t5.

The dp90 is a full 3'x2'x2' btw.

Id say 100w would keep a single mom happy and healthy. Clones would be fine in the side light of the mom. They dont need intense light to root but that t8 would work too. Ive had as many as 5 moms under my t5 which is 216w and all was well.

Do you have any pics of it?
I'll have to make something like that for my Propagator.

For the grow tent I'm still debating between 600w and 400w for a 2x4x5"
The only other thing that is unclear are the strains I'll be growing...
It's just so hard to choose hehe I make a list and research that list and then select the best candidates.
Doesn't really matter...every other day it changes up drastically hehe

I dont sorry. Youtube " how to build a cfl grow light fixture - cheap" by sleestaksrule. I basicly made that with a few mods. I put a socket with a y on each end faceing towards the middle. Cost me $25 minus the bulbs I already had. Covers two 10"x20" trays with domes perfectly.

Unless your using an air cooled reflector, I'd stay away from the 600W. It will get too hot other wise. Even with the 400W it may get too hold without an air cooled reflector/tube. I'd highly recommend you get one in that small of a tent.

Also, if you're only growing 3 plants in it, 400W is more than enough. The rule of thumb has been 100W per plant ;)
