Still can't figure this out .

image.jpeg All my plants start off like this for some reason. I'm using a mix of Promixbx,perlite,amd a little black gold moisture control soil for all my seedlings. It seems like they start off great then start to turn, and then eventually go back to being ok , but I feel I'm wasting time and slowing down the growing process some how. Kind of looks like nitrogen deficiency, or cal-mag. I was under the impression I didn't need anything for a plant that's ten days old . But seems I do. I went ahead and sprayed it with cal mag and turned the lights off for an hr so I wouldn't burn them. I have them in a humidity some with the humidity at 75% and temp at 80. Maybe it's to hot of temp ?i have them under , four two foot starting lights, T5's.image.jpeg image.jpeg I just can't figure it out. If I lower the temp inside the done the humidity plum it's so that's why I keep it up like that. What y'all think ? should I use some other medium? I just got FFOF and warrior light, and mixed up to parts ocean forest and one bag warrior light and added perlite . Maybe use this from now on from the get go ? I've heard FFOF is kinda hot so I added the warrior light. I'm open to suggestions everyone . I want to learn as much as possible ! Btw, these ones aren't as bad as last time but I still want to try and figure this out . I'm addicted to this now lol can't get enough .

I dont think you need to keep that under a dome. My seedlings were smaller than that when I was running them under my t5. How often have you watered it?

Its not calcium,calcium deficiency will show up on new growth.My guess P deficiency brought on with soggy soil or low temps,do you have drainage? People pouring cal/mag on their plants at the first sign of leaf spots is a major problem,and most of the time causes more troubles.Most of these issues can be fixed by fixing your environment or watering practices.

Ok I will try that. It's ten days old and about 6 inches tall. At what point should I water it then lol ?

Let it dry almost completely. You probably have enough water in there for an entire week depending on the lights you are using.

Just one plant is bad as you can see below with rust looking spots and stuff. but I'm seeing others starting to turn light yellow now from bottom towards top. This is the only one that looks this bad though . Cal-mag? Nitrogen? I'm using the same soil as mentioned above for the otherstarter plants . I just gave all the plants FF grow big along with cal-mag. I might have waited a little to Long to start feedingimage.jpeg them I think . They are three feet tall and sprouted on Jan 10th. Just started using ferts. I sprayed just cal- mag on the one plant before lights out and checked it 12 hrs later but not improving yet . Probably way to early to tell.

Stop foliar feeding cal/mag. Just get into the habit of always throwing a tsp in your feed everytime. If I had to guess it has to do something with your ph and your fert. You said you are using grow big..... What about big bloom? How much GB are you giving them? Are you testing the PH of your run off? When I use FF the soil always starts acidic. PH of 5s or lower in the run off. If that's the case try watering with a higher Ph to bring it up like 7ish.)

I'm just using the fox farms grow big and it says 2to 3 tsp so I use 2 tsp per gal. My ph of my water being put in is 6.5-6.8 I tested the run off last night and it was 6.3

Nothing is gonna fix itself over night. Just be patient and keep a eye out for new leave spots. I would look into Big Bloom. Has a lot of micros you might not be receiving from your Grow Big. Also add a tsp of cal/mag to your feeding regimen from now on.

Take off the dome, too much humidity.... Back off the nutes, too early imho....

Took the dome off and haven't watered it until today. It's grown a lot but those two leafs are still bad. I'm just gonna snip them off I guess so the plant uses its energy for growing and rooting and not on repairing those leafs. image.jpeg

Damaged leaves won't repair. As long as you're getting new growth and the damage isn't appearing on other leaves you're good.

Yea, like TopDog says.... same with roots too, damage is damage, they dont repair...

I think of the brown crispy spots that spread and consume the leaf... as leaf cancer... I correct the situation (almost always Ph, sometimes humidity too low) and wait and watch the leaves die off more n more.... watch the young leaves... you want spot free young leaves, the one that were already hurtin.... will. not. come. back.

long as the roots is healthy n they got food @ right ph tho.... damage means almost nothing to vegging plants, other than a bit of repair time... so don't get too worried, just be patient and diligent, it will sort itself out in the end :)

(Yes, i clip my crispy leaves, but not very early on, i wait til they get oretty bad and the rest of the plant has gotten nice n healthy under/around it, and it looks like a big ugly bitch in the middle of the green.... so when i DO clip it... it makes me think the plant is flawless for a bit, lol)
