I have been running my new ebb n grow 12 bucket hydro set with 12 Jack herer clones that I made and got root. There a bit shaggy / yellow. But I was told not to worry because that's not what matters at this time. I was told it's all about the roots. That as soon as there good and rooted into the clay hydroton they will blow up with new growth and will look like 12 new plants? I'm on day five and I'm not seeing anything dieing or looking worst I don't see anything yet? Is this fine?

This is good. You want them to spread their roots before you start to turn up the volume on the PPM. Check them to see if you see any roots coming out the bottom of some of the pots. This generally takes a week or so. Once I see a few roots, I bump the PPM up to about 500 - 600.

If you dont let the roots spread and turn up the PPM right away, some of the plants will take right off and some wont and youll end up with a bunch of plants all different sizes which is a bitch when they get big. Being patient and letting them spread their roots first means they will all take off simultaneously. Patience.

Once you do turn up the PPM, they take off in about 3 days.

Ok so now I'm seeing little leaf cemetricaly growing out of each one very light in color. They probly won't show roots out the bottom for awhile because there two gallon pots inside a little bigger pot and there full of hydroton clay fills the two gallon pots. So I'm not sure how I could see them since I'm on day five from when I transplanted. But I'm couriouse how long do I have till the roots do show out the bottom?

I use the same system. You will be surprised how fast they can spread roots, even when they are little tiny clones.

Look at my grow journal in my signature. Took seven days to show roots on that grow, using ebb and grow with 2 gallon pots.

While they are spreading roots they show miniature growth, almost like bonzai, pretty awesome really. A few more days and you will be rocking and rolling. Patience.

Sweet thank you. Should I lift the pots one inch so the roots don't sit in water 24/7 if there going to show through the bottom already. I'll lift them so to drain better before then. Your saying seven days? Cool

Dont worry about the roots sitting in water. The water does not stagnate because it replenishes when it floods. They feed off that water between floods.
