The roots are oxygen deprived.

And I stopped using "bloom" fertilizers years ago and have been instead running just veg formulas throughout all the plant's life and like White says I use a little kool bloom when plants need it.

looks perfectly natural. It's exactly what is supposed to happen at late flower. If one harvests and the leaves ain't almost all gone and yellowed then too much nitrogen which screws up the taste. The plant is using the leaves to make the buds....the leaves are the storehouse! Only an idiot would feed 3 weeks to a month prior to harvest or/and after flush. You like the taste of nitrates? see this Maui at 4 1/2 weeks in flower....see bottom leaves turning. I expect all leaves to turn and nearly drop off by finish like these other pics.

So ive been letting the soil dry for 2 days now and counting. Spots getting bigger on leaves as well. I increased ventilation especially to the roots and pot but it needs to hurry up and dry out dammit. I drilled holes in the side of my pot and im thinking about slightly aerating it with a coat hanger or something. Think that could speed up the process? My babies been on a halt for like a week! Think itll bounce back alright?

Beautiful plant! I do hope it comes through, i dont like to over mother buti feel i have to worry about my baby now....hahah. appreciate all the help guys!

Doesn't taste bad and smoked great.

Quit buying into the bloom booster hype and starving your plants.

Nah. Damage is done. Remember even when you correct a mistake they can get worse before better.

Best thing to do is not panic and do something stupid.

Those leaves are the storehouse for all macro/micro nutrients. All that spotting is normal....see spots on my lower Maui leaves....that's the plant taking mag it needs to make big buds. No worries! Sometimes too much of a good thing is bad. A friend of mine can't grow (indoors) because he freaks out on every spot etc. and over compensates with feeding etc. until he finally gets ph lockout and the thing stops growing and dies. Best remedy for any wierdness is a flush and leave it alone!

LOL...you like smoking nitrates huh? Been smoking since 1973 and growing since late 90's I'd be embarresed to show a pre harvest pic of that little bud and dark green leaves...lol

edit: noticed in your pic lighter lower leaves...you feed too late or chopped too early!

Gorgeous. Mine sure looks ugly but im gonna let it toughen out the last couple weeks and see what happens. So bloom nutes arent truly necessary? I dont understand why so many people say to cut veg nutes 2 weeks into flowering.

I grow organic and don't feed at all...just a late flush. Dark green leaves at harvest are not good (research for yourself or look at others finished plants and see). The pot may not taste that bad but can taste so much better when as much nitrogen as possible is used up. This isn't new and has been known about in marijuana growing since the 70's. In nature this happens to marijuana....dark green leaves unnatural for late bloom marijuana.

That was another plant that was vegging. That was grown under t5. Amber tricomes. A week or so before chop. It's ok. You bought into the hype and think starving plants is good.

It was organic. Plant took what it wanted.

Smoothness comes from dry a cure. Not flushing or other bro science.

Nitrogen is needed in flower.

Your plants look better than ops. The op plant is not normal and shame on you for saying so.


So let's recap. You got to make an excuse that it's normal to starve and fry your plants with bloom boosters at the end.

Those plants were 2 foot for the one and around 36 inches for the others. Main colas about 18 inches to 2 foot and thick as my arm grown under a cheap 4 foot 8 bulb t5.

Bullshit. Flush is a myth. You can't flush mobile nutrients. The mobile ones like nitrogen move from the leaves to the very bud you smoke. Just stop.

It's all in the cure and dry.

I will say that N tox in flower is bad. Those aren't in tox. Perfectly healthy organic plants.

Leeching is what you are referring to and it only removes salt from soil not plants.

Again shame on you. If you are not capable of helping diagnose the plant problem then maybe don't.

Nute companies sell more nutes that way.

You want a balanced feed. I grow organic. You want close to even numbers for npk.

Dynagro came out with foliage pro for cannabis and it's high in N. 9-3-6 and works great.

I do keep amendments of bloom boosters around because sometimes a strain will need more P or K in flower.

Quit force feeding. Let the plant tell you what it needs. Not a bottle or nute company.

LOL....you ruined those buds by overfeeding so close to harvest. looks like yo have most of it right but ...lol..seriously? Why do you think leaves turn in the fall...think marijuana is different? His plant further along then mine....give mine 2-3 weeks will have all light green leaves just like his. Flushing is to flush the buildup of crystals at root tips to enhance the up-flow of nutrients. Has nothing to do with Nitrogen. You really don't have a clue. Go research yourself or read a book. You know that bitter aftertaste you have after every puff....that's all your feeding/Nitrogen...lol. Now go take your meds kid!

Thats good advice. Im just not to the level of growing yet where i can tell what it needs. And when i do know, its too late haha. But hey thats with anything! I was using earth juice grow, bloom and microblast. Think on my next one just use light veg nutes even through flower until it says otherwise?

I have a few grow threads on here. One is 40-60 pages long. I don't remember.

I've shown everything from healthy plants to screw ups. We all make mistakes.

I was raised growing a garden every year. Done it since I could walk and been growing pot over 20 years.

I still screw up.

I also don't buy into bullshit cannabis specific this or that. Bloom boosters or flushing.

Especially flushing. That's a debate I care not to start back up. Science doesn't support it. You don't flush tobacco. It's green when chopped.

Proper plant nutrition is important late flower. Cannabis can put on up to 25% of it's weight the last couple weeks. It's important for terpene production.

I have read the studies. Proper nutrition raises most cannabinoids. Tox lowers them as well as starving them.

Then beval said something about flushing organic. Why? It's organic. Water only. The way I grow. It gets nothing but water. It can't be flushed.

I'm rambling now. Anyways. It takes a little time but you will get it.

I say you need to let one go until it's limp from needing water. You will then see the difference in under and over water droop.

Under watering and the leaf stems will relax and let the leaves lay against the plant. Over water and the leaves will droop but not the stem. You then get yellowing and necrotic spots.

Chronic under water has a unique look. Had a plant outdoors get a dry spot that became hydrophobic. Wouldn't take water. Peat bases are bad for it.
