Wow........................
I'm a dirt guy, check my sig thread Windsblow.
I grow weed like a bulldog catches.
Ya don't need to buy any of the stuff mentioned allready.
I've never had a moisture meter,a ph meter or added any myco...............fucking noob supplies for a dirt grower.;)
I'll show ya how to get down and dirty if ya want.
dude what the fuck are you talking about.
for one, he is a noob
two, myco is noob supplies??
three... The title is stimulating root growth. ( i could've ranted a bunch of things but the OP is a new grower.
advising against a pH meter and a moisture meter for a new grower is kinda counter-productive ... I understand those tools aren't necessary but they help if you're a new grower. who is questioning about watering, root activity, and will eventually have a question about his plants...
i'm personally offended about dissing the myco. Its one of the reasons we have any plant life on earth. You don't need it .... but do a side by side with it ... If you can show me a pic where rootmass is better without myco ...
You'll be winning like Sheen my man.
having said that .... nice plants!

I guess suggesting a bunch of stuff he doesn't need is a lot less confusing fora noob.
I'll do a side by side with ya any time you want, all in good fun.

a good way to see when you should water is to let your plants dry out. water thoroughly and then check each day. note how many days it takes for the plants to start wilting. don't let them wilt too much, but a little bit will be fine and once you water they will bounce right back. you could water from below if you want all your root growth at the bottom of the pot, but if you want your roots to use the entire space in the medium, water heavily and not as often. make sure you pour the water evenly over the entire surface to prevent any dry pockets in the soil. when i water i make sure there is plenty of runoff then i let the plant sit in the runoff for about 20 minutes. osmosis helps distribute moisture more evenly in the soil this way. oh and i dont use a moisture meter or myco, but you could use them if you think they would help you. try a bunch of things out and find out what works best with your medium, temps, lighting, and strain.

I think I get what both of you are getting at..... I was just trying to figure out how to water in a way that would maximize root growth. I think I figured out what I should do. I think my plant are growing slow because I was watering to much and my roots were getting lazy. I will increase my watering time intervals to stimulate root search.
