StinkBud Aero...NYPD Seedlings In Rockwool...Quick Questions!

Whats up again guys!?
I set up a stinkbud aero unit and i germinated some NYPD which are now about 2 inches tall. I got them in rockwool in the aero cups with hydroton on top.
I was debating if I should seperate the seedling from the rockwool and just put the seedling into the hydroton?
Anyone who has experience with aero, I'm curious what your methods are.

id love to know the answer to this as well as ive just started to germ in rockwool and wondered if i should transfer them to hydroton

Rockwool is horrible! I use root riot cubes, once the seelding has popped its head out, i allow it to get some nice roots before puting it into hydroton where the roots can then pass down into the solution. Im not sure if rockwool can be placed straight into hydroton without knocking the PH off? (not sure on this though as ive never used it)

leave the seedling in the cubes. You will stress it out pulling it free.

thanks guys, any suggestions what to plant in next time? I got neoprene collars now, i was going to plant the next seeds into those... What are your thoughts?

Neoprenes work great. But IMO breaking away your plug is the best option when transeferring to hydroton. Just be careful and dont let the roots get to big or you will damge your start when you try. Rockwool holds too much water around your plant. If your afraid of breaking a plug. i would leave them in a perlite/peat plug because they shed excess water.

Rapid Rooters are the shit! ...give'em a try.

Rapid rooters are good. PLUGZ are my fave by C.A.P. They just hiked up the price though. I hate it when companies do that

Yeah I'm feelin ya guys, the rockwool is holding in way to much water. I really don't want to damage the roots so I'll just leave them. But i got 2 jock horrors germinating right now that will go into rapid rooters or plugz, depending on what my shop has. It will be pretty cool to compare the NYPD in rockwool and JH in the other medium. If i can I'll keep ya guys posted or create a journal. Trichlone yours is rediculous.

I just want to have the best medium for my setup which has sprayers.
