stopped growing

i had 4 plants all under some cfl's for about 2months.. 1 got to be around 1 1/2 feet tall the rest a little under 1 foot.
On monday i finally purchased 5' x 5' x 7' grow tent with a 600w mh/hps set up.
since i transferred them under this bulb they havent seemed to grow any more or really do anything.
the taller plant has a lot of hairs but she has had them since the cfls, and a lot of her fan leaves are starting to yellow & dry up.
Is this light harming them because they were used to being under the cfl's?

ok will do..
also ive noticed that they are needing a lot more water then what i usually gave them is this because of the stronger light also? is that normal?

yellowing is caused by not enough nitrogen in the fertilizers you are using. What size pots do you have them in? What type of soil? or is it hydroponic?

Yes the stronger the light the more they will drink...Keep them hydrated.....I water ever 3 days under a 1000w

yea it seems like i have to water them every single day... im using fox farm ocean forest soil with the 3 fox farm liquid nutrients, im following the foxfarm chart on how much to put in.

&& They are all in about 1 gallon pots

When you switched to a 600 watt HID in your new tent, how did the temperature inside react? Heat can stop plants in thier tracks - they'll stay alive, they just wont grow!

My guess is that if you keep the temperature down (below 80 degrees f.) everything should be ok!

they may have become a bit root bound, one rule of thumb is 1 gallon of pot for every foot of height
some seem to have luck with these size pots, didn't work for me though, i've found 2 gallon pots to be my minimum
but i had results very similar to yours, feed and watered regular, plants just wouldn't grow much in the smaller pot

umm the heat is right around 80 degress actually, but before i moved them into that tent they were around 70-75 up and down threw out the day.
and thats interesteing maybe ill try putting them in some larger pots.

I'm not sure about the 1 gallon per foot rule since I have grown 5-6 footers in 3 gallon pots, but I do think growth will be limited in a 1 gallon pot.

the foot per gallon rule probably isn't too accurate, i've done better than 2 foot in 2 gallon pots
just that there is a threshold for some plant/soils
i did do a direct comparison with a smaller setup, a 1/2 gallon pot
had same lighting/soil/nutes/lighting and the plant was a clone that grew well in a 2 gallon pot
it sucked rocks in a 1/2 gallon, but moved to a 2 gallon, and it took right off
i think organic soil grows may be a bit pickier on pot size, that's been my experience anyways
