Storing plants to trim

This is a hydro system. This is so I can turn my flower room over and to keep my plants nice and fresh so I can can trim them easily.

My idea is after the plants are ready to harvest I want to pull then out and place them in a bucket with some water under a t-5 light till I can get the flower room going again with a new set. Maybe one day to do that then go start to trim the ones that are ready.

I will have to place the ready plants back in the veg room in the buckets. That means it will be back under 18/6. Is that a non-issue since I will be trimming in a day but it may take me up to five days to do all of the trimming on all of the plants?

I may have to take the plants out of their inserts and just flop them in the bucket with about an inch of water if I need the inserts right away (or till I get more). Or not I dont know yet till I get that far and how everything needs to be rotated.

I dont see the downside to this since the plants are done growing and I will be harvesting. So I ask is this a bad idea?

Terrible idea. The plants cant be just thrown in a bucket of water like a bunch of flowers and slapped under a cfl at this stage. Start a new room or get a bigger one.

Sounds like a terrible idea. Keeping them alive in the veg room 18/6 for almost a week?
Just chop the whole plant and hang it without trimming. Then it can dry for over a week if it is big enough and you'll have plenty of time to start trimming and jarring in like 5 days or something. Slower dry and a better smell.

I dont like to trim when it is dried. I guess I'll plan it out to just switch the plants between rooms. I will put one in a bucket though to see what it does.

I know someone that puts the branches in vases with water until he is ready to trim.. I have not tried it but he swears by it.. His strain is very Vine like so they almost look like rose stems... I just take what I can trim in an hour and go back.... if you are trimming 10 pounds dry worth at a time I understand wanting to turn the buckets because it takes time... but if you are doing a few ounces worth ut as you go.. a day or two doesn't matter.
