Storing Seeds.

Sorry I'm gonna pull a newb move and not do a search for the info I need. Please help me out.

A friend of mine gave me a seed which he says is a feminized "lowryder", I'll post a pic of it later and see if any of you can identify it.
I know it's way to late for this year and I'm not doing the indoor thing so I wanted to hear the ways you store seeds and what not to do.
I'm asking in this forum cause I know who's who here, I don't read too much on the other boards.

Just keep it in a cool dry dark place. I use to put my seeds in a zip lock, write what strain they were on the bag, then put it in my closet.

i keep my seeds in little brown envelopes, in a small cardboard box, in my sock drawer. i have 3 yr old seeds that still germ at around 80-90%.

cool, darkness. I store mine in camera film cannisters out in my garage. I have 1000's of seeds from back in the 70's,80's,90's that are still good, if you stored properly, they'll keep for decades. I got some columbia red bud growing this year, I think. won't know for sure until they bud out and then I'll know..... for sure!

Get the packet that comes with a new pair of shoes. It absorbs moisture. Store your seeds with the packet in a few freezer bags Squeeze out the air and place into the refrigerator. Humidity below 5% with temps between 35F-40F and no light are ideal seed storage conditions.

I put them in glass vials and pill dispensers for days of the week, they sell them at any drug store.

Everyone seems have their favorite. I found this method on this site.
Take a tupper ware type container, fill with uncooked rice(natural dessicant), wrap seeds in sets in tissue paper and put inside the rice. Seal and store in refrigerator.
