No not really. There are ways to sterilize things but for the most part they out date before you use them. If you need to approximate sterility just redo them.so i did a run, but i have 4 left over jars that have been in the pressure cooker lid on no heat all day i was wondering if there is a way to save these jars for later?
there in the fridge, i'm going to sterilize before use, but for the most part will the wet rye spawn anything in the fridge that i need to be aware of?No not really. My buddy used straw I thought that was really wild and he would keep some Tupperware dishes of spawn in his fridge and use that to inoculate storage tubs that where filled with several inches of sterilized straw. Once the tub was completely filled with mycelium it was cased with a couple inches of peatmoss and vermiculite. I'm pretty sure u can use aluminum foil to make the print I've only had spore syringes or spawn.coodoo's to you sirs. just need to save on money and time. thanks for the info about storing knocked up jars. what kind of paper is best used to make prints?
no risk if your over 215 F. once you heat it far enough everything dies. plus im really tight on budget, enough verm for a full batch is 40 bucks for 5 gallons, plus i like horticulture. needless to say its still sitting in the bag.re-run them.. i tried hanging onto a sub before.. no bueno. if youre going to re steralize wet rye.. just run a new batch. i dont see a point of risking it when rye.. wbs.. brf.. popcorn. all so cheap
