Stove Top Cannabutter.

So this round i have a lot more trim and even some kif/bubble hash to work with for the butter. i know for a fact i have 1.3gs of kif.14gs of unused fresh frozen trim. and about 15-20g of used trim for one run of bubble under scope it still has trichs. as for bubble ill probably use 1 or 2 grams but all together i plan on having roughly a lil over an ounce. the few questions i have are

with that much trim/kif/bubble i plan on using 3-4 sticks of butter so how much water should i use? i plan on bringing the water to a boil before i melt the butter in it.
how long should i let it simmer for ive been hearing anywhhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours. very big time window there so just curious.
would a old clean teeshirt work as a filter if i do not have cheese cloth? last time i used coffee filters it ripped and had to restrain everything

and what recipes do you know that i could whip together from scrathc like cookies or something.

should i try the double boiler method i mihgt. once i find more peeps that have dones it with secuess

use about .25-.50g trim per edible.
use 1lb butter
water.. up to you I dont use it..
simmer for 2+ hours min at 250
tshirt will work


some folks use the mason jar style = no smell

yeah it's the way some folks do it who are concerned about the smell.. I liked it due to low clean up..
grab a mason jar and lid
get your MMJ ground up
toss the oil in the mason jar
toss in the MMJ

get a pot filled with water put on the stove heat at low to min

add mason jar with the stuff inside seal the lid.... put jar in the water

the water will take awhile to heat the mason jars stuff so it will need about 4+ hours IMO

to stir the mason jar during cooking just shake it a few times wrapped in a towel so you font burn yourself..

smell is not to much of an issue i tend to do alot of cooking at nighttime when most of my neighbors are sleep. i just made the chop on my widow today letting it freeze so i can do a quick bubble then im throwing all my trim/kif/popcorn nugs into the butter. will see how strong it comes out. i will picture everything i thorw in it.

Is there anything the left over leaves can be used for ? I hate throwing away ?

in my book what ever sticks to the stem and does not drop off during budding gets made into oil.
