strain comparison - Sour D, OG Kush Elite, Chemdawg #4

So I harvested my Maui's and cleaned out the tent, reconfigured everything, set up the reservoir, tested the system, created my nutrient mix and tomorrow we transplant 3 Sour Diesels, 1 Chemdawg #4, and 1 OG Kush Elite. There's room for 1 more in the hydro setup, however, I don't have a plant ready yet, so it'll have to sit open for a week or so.

Also in the tent will be 3 Bubba Kush Elite, however, hooked up to a different reservoir.

Dual 400W HPS will be over the 9 plants and we'll be starting with 15 hours of light for the next 10 days before shifting to 12/12.

I've not grown any of the three very closely related strains; however, I do have another setup with the Sour D however that one is under LED along with White Widow and third generational cross of my Maui's.

The Bubba's I just finished off and am running again.

We'll see exactly how these girls perform over the next 90 or so days!!

For nutrients we've got a base of Fox Farm as well as the Fox Farm tri-pack for flowering, and for additives...B-52, Bud Candy, Bloommax, RhinoSkin, MagiCal, & GreatWhite Shark.

The Bubba's will have KushiKush replacing Bud Candy, we'll see how the difference is as in the last Bubba grow we used Bud Candy.

SuperThrive & B-cuzz were used at various points during veg to allow for some massive roots to form.

Veg started under 400W MH but was converted to a 384W PC setup that was previously running my salt water aquarium. Plants love the PC's for veg more than they did the MH. I get better coverage now.

So the transplanting hs been done, we ended up moving 4 Sour D instead of the original 3.

I want to see how the cut of chemdawg turns out as I plan on running some. Do you think its going to be more sativa or indica dominant as far as growth goes?

here are some pictures. We are in week 6. ChemDawg grows very much like a sativa. if you've ever grown OG kush, this is where it get's it's really tall stretch trait from. unlike the Sour D which will create beautiful arms that fill up. very interesting to see these grow side by side. wish i had a better camera, the cell phone just doesn't do justice to the ladies.

Looking good, why do lot's of growroom shots come out with those lines?

the lines come from the HPS light. it's the frequency of light that they emit, our eyes don't see the flicker, but the camera catches it. with a really good flash though you don't get the lines. but these shots were with my cell phone.
